Staff was marvelous. Center courtyard was a nice quiet place to enjoy a book or a chat with another guest and enjoy a smoke without any grief. Location is great! We stayed two week without a single complaint to make at all

This place is cool and near the beach with good dining options nearby. We arrived around 3pm to checkin but were informed that checkin time is 4pm in summers which is a real issue in a hot summer. Apart from this everything was good and the location is 10/10. They provide parking passes though parking spots are not guaranteed.

Very close to beach, so you can just walk and not have to worry about driving and finding a parking spot. Clean. Modern quality flooring, counters and glass door shower stall. Tasteful beach style and decor. The best hotel shampoo, conditioner and body wash that actually easily removes sunblock yet doesn’t feel weird after. Nice manager/staff. Thank you, QC CSS

There was no parking and had to park at an adjacent hotel. There were no washcloths in the room and no hair dryer. The hotel was quiet and the bed was comfy. I don't think it was worth the price tag.

Room size was excellent. Two queen beds with kitchenette. Only problem with parking is your parking spot is not guaranteed in front of your unit. Staff was friendly and helpful. Ocean right there and within walking distance of everything. Will stay here again.

The hotels definitely need some outdoor maintenance and paint. Some of the stairs to go up have visible rust exposed which makes one think how save they really are. The ice machine was not working and we had to go their sister hotel location a block away everyday for ice. The rooms are actually very nice, specious, and clean. Bed sheets clean and sterile. Microwave, coffee maker, and hair dryer all worked fine.i think the fact that you’re 1.5 city blocks away from the boardwalk makes this a go-to hotel for those wanting close proximity but not top dollar rooms on the actual boardwalk. I would definitely visit San Diego again and would not mind staying at PB Surf Inn.
