GREAT location, that's about it. No AC, one of the electrical outlets right behind the bed had a ground plug stuck in it, LOUD street noise. Archaic bed and lumpy pillows. But GREAT location.....

Staff were excellent, the room was abysmal regarding air-conditioning. The access to Mission Beach is second to none. The room was clean, however, the surrounding rooms were very loud with a particular clientele that were rowdy all night.

If you’d like air-conditioning, do not stay at this hotel it’s across the street from the ocean. That’s nice. Nice restaurants close by I booked for three nights. I stayed one. I just want a two night refund or credit.🇺🇸🇺🇸

You pay for what you get. I knew the rooms did not have AC. I knew it’s on a busy street and it’s noisy. But for 1/3 the price of every other hotel. It was worth it. If you like to party and hang out at the beach. It’s perfect. If you need AC and quiet rooms pay the 3 or 4 hundred dollars for your rooms.

the location of this property is excellent! just two blocks from a great beach. There are tons of places to eat close by. This is an old property, and you can tell. There is no microwave or mini frig. And their ice machine was broken. We didn't ever use the pool, but it looked nice and we saw others using it. Also, there is no A/C. That is typical for southern CA beach towns, because they say they don't need it. My humble opinion is that they do! It wasn't too bad due to cool breezes and a fan, but if you go in August, I suggest you find a place with A/C.

The rooms have no A/C, they’re dirty, appliances feel like they’re falling apart, and our bedsheets smelled like the previous guests body odor. In the middle of the night someone broke into our neighbors room and woke us up. Thankfully everyone was okay. Convenient location though. 1/10

I loved Motels location, everything was in walking distance. Motel was doable for stay. Only downfall was it had an old smell. The area did not have any hotels, more like Hostels, Beach dorm like and cottages. Overall I was pleased with my stay and with the helpful staff. I’d definitely come back.

This place is in a great location for walking to many restaurants, bars and the beach. If you are going to San Diego to hang out in a hotel / motel room, this is not your place. You cannot beat the price and location.

Checked in 3 hours early and they had our room nice and clean. The owner was super helpful. Her staff was amazing! Only a few blocks away from the beach. We only stayed one night, but very nice.

Dumpy staff, dirty property, didn't get any accoutrements like ice bucket, toilet paper, or clean sheets, loud area and neighbors(buy ear plugs) but still giving 4 stars as it's the cheapest motel in OB right across from the beach and down the street Garnett with all the nightlife. Park your car and walk around and enjoy SD beaches and life...

It’s adequate for a night or two if you must be right there. If you are a surfer, it’s a perfect location. Rooms have no air conditioning which matters in the afternoon only on most days. If you need to be there and your budget is tight then it’s fine. If you want to enjoy your lodging, pick another place.

I traveled with my fiance and my friend here in September 2026 and it was an awesome trip. The motel is definitely part to thank for that. The pool was awesome, clean, maintained, good temperature. They even let us stay an extra hour past closing because we asked. After three days, our room got pretty sandy and they changed our sheets and swept the floor per our request. The staff was very accommodating, attentive, and nice. The microwave, fridge, and TV were a great thing for us and we used it a lot. The best part of it all was how close we really were to the beach. It never even felt like a walk. Before I even realized I was walking really, we were at the beach. It was actually amazing. This motel is also placed in a wonderful area, with many shops, dining, bars, and a grocery store a very short walk away. The only two reasons I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because there really was zero air conditioning and it was very hot and felt like we were melting. They had three fans in there for you to use but it did not really help. The other reason was because they charged us 6 dollars for parking for each day. I don't really understand that because we were staying at the motel so why would we pay for parking? Other than that, if no AC isn't a deal breaker for you, I would definitely recommend staying here for your trip.

It’s a surfer motel. No amenities, ugly rooms, no air conditioning. Pacific Beach is a pleasant spot with nice cool weather. This place is budget, only acceptable if you only come back to sleep. Bottom line is that I recommend it if you’re looking for the cheapest lodging in Pacific Beach and everything else here is crazy expensive now. Convenient, park right outside your room. It’s acceptable, don’t expect to like this motel.
