The hotel staff and the room condition were really great for the price. The hotel was easy to find by following Google Maps. Although it was located on a slightly higher area, I was able to get used to it. Because of the elevated location, I could enjoy a beautiful sunset, and I felt safe during my stay. Samana left me with so many wonderful memories—I would love to visit again.

The Good: Most rooms have a balcony with views. Clean rooms/linens Breakfast good - made to order The Bad: Staff speak no English and lack customer service training No wifi in rooms - only in lobby Room TVs not connected to wifi, cable or satellite - useless! Took 10 minutes to get hot water flowing 4 floors, no elevator Breakfast only - must go down into town for dinner

I could see the sea from my balcony and the view from the restaurant where I took my breakfast was astonishing. The staff was very kind, friendly and accommodating. However I wonder how are the staff working conditions. The receptionist who checked in me in the evening was cleaning the small pool next morning, the ladies who prepared and served me my breakfast were later on cleaning the rooms. So, although I liked hotel and its location I am not happy about the working conditions of their staff that should be improved.

DO NOT STAY THERE!!! In fact, when we arrived (Sept 5, 2026, around 4pm), the place looked absolutely abandoned. The front door was locked! Phone listed as main line out of service! Finally, after knocking and snooping around in 90F+ heat found some sleepy dude, who seem to be the only person in the entire hotel, and who was something like manager/guard/genitor/host/receiptionist. The rooms are tiny, the promised ocean view non-existent (complete bs). Worst - A/C's don't work, or barely work, with such tiny rooms it's literally a sauna feel. Don't get me started on cleanness, or overall eye appeal - again, the hotel looks like from horror movies, do not believe pictures, all bs. Pool is the size of a small car, it's not even a pool, it's a kid's jacuzzi. Restaurant (where you supposed to get free breakfast), I can't even comment, reminds of post apocalyptic movies, all empty dirty tables, broken up floor tiles, etc. Also pay attention how hotel deals with cancelations, because obviously this is their main stream of income. They won't refund you anything, until you cancel several days ahead (even then I doubt you'd be refunded). At least I wasn't. Stay away!

The bagges guys were good the food staff was nice but the people at the front desk was not welcoming she was rude.and the reservations on the food restaurant didnt want to work on line so ate at one of the 4 plus the they had one open then one closed so never got try all cause of that over all evething else was ok

The place felt abandoned. It seemed to me they attempted to make a nice hotel but didn’t think anything through. You have to climb over the bed to get to the far side of the room because the size of the bed was too big for the size of the room. I had to sit on the toilet sideways because it is too close to the wall. No soap to wash hands in the bathroom. The bathroom door scraps loudly on the tile because the door is too long. No towels near the pool. And the worst part was the wifi did not work the whole time we were there. There are hotels for half the price in Samana. I don’t understand why the guest is paying so much for this hotel. The amenities and care of the building doesn’t equal the price. So far in the Dominican Republic it is both the most expensive and worst hotel experience I have had.

I was not able to get the room I reserved. the hotel was closed for renovations. Totally empty. After several calls to a number that was posted on the side of gthe door, a gentleman camed and confirmed to us that the place has been close for several days. The hall and reception area was filled with construction materials. I expect a full refund. I had to go to another hotel. The cotubanama.

Mi segunda estadía en Samaná Hotel fue tan agradable como la primera. Una vez más pude disfrutar de la tranquilidad, la belleza natural del entorno y el ambiente acogedor que caracteriza este lugar. Las habitaciones se mantienen limpias, cómodas y bien cuidadas, ideales para descansar después de un día explorando la zona. La vista sigue siendo espectacular y es, sin duda, uno de los mayores atractivos del hotel. Quiero destacar nuevamente la amabilidad y atención del personal. Desde la llegada hasta la salida, siempre estuvieron disponibles para ayudar y hacer que la experiencia fuera aún más cómoda. Mi experiencia fue muy positiva y confirma la buena impresión que tuve en mi visita anterior. Sin duda, volvería a hospedarme aquí y lo recomendaría a quienes buscan un lugar tranquilo, con excelente servicio y una hermosa vista en Samaná. ¡Gracias por otra excelente estadía! 🌴✨

Debido al estado de la rampa de entrada de la calle teníamos dudas si dra el camino correcto, pero pronto encontramos el hotel. La habitación muy cómoda, baño amplio, el desayuno muy rico y completo y las vistas espectaculares. El personal super amable y solucionaron todas nuestras dudas y necesidades con mucha celeridad!! Muy recomendable!
