Al Jabal - April 2017

The staff was friendly and accommodated my flight schedule/check in time. However, they overcharged me on the airport shuttle (I clearly showed them the hotels.com listed price), the AC had not been turned on prior to check in (making the room excessively humid), and no toilet paper had been left in the bathroom. Overall not bad, but definitely not an outstanding hotel.

Horrible dirty place

The "hotel" is in horrible conditions. I don't understand how such a place is even open to public and called a "hotel". This place should be closed down due to lack of hygiene. The beds were dirty, the bathroom dirty, the corridors dirty, the elevator dirty. We did not spend the night there as we thought we might catch an infection. Disgusting!

Busy!

The hotel must have been dealing with a large tourism group during our stay. The lobby was full of women and children - and remnants of candy wrappers and debris were found here and there later that night and early the next day. Overall, it was a nice hotel, but perhaps not maintaned as well as it could be. The shower head wasnt properly mounted in our bathroom, and try as we may, it was impossible to keep it directed into the shower while washing. The result was a private swimming pool in our bathroom that was dangerously slippery. Breakfast consisted of toast and coffee. I dont known if we missed something, but we were there during the posted breakfast hours. Fortunately, someone offered to make an omelet when my husband inquired about there being no food. Overall the hotel was fine. They just seemed very overwhelmed when we were there. The traffic noise from thw street might be annoying to some. We were so tired by the end of each day we didnt notice after long.

Nice 3 star budget hotel.

It was a nice 3 star hotel. Room was good with all related furniture, LED TV and Fridge. Iron and electric kettle were missing. Washroom were small but clean. Location was perfect, beach was just 5 min drive and close to the main highway, you must need a 4x4 to explore Salalah. Wi-Fi was also working although signal was week.

A Decent Short Stay Option

For the price, this is a decent one night option. We were upgraded to a large, clean and comfortable enough suite that was much, much better than the photos. If you need 2-3 beds be very clear about that in the booking. There is no pool and nothing interesting around this property. Cabs are tricky and expensive here. If you have a choice choose Muscat over Salalah.

for a backpacker it's no problem, but if you go with family(particularly female) uncomfortable

Not so clean and comfortable, cannot say a hotel as much as an inn, I don't recommend for family accommadation (especially in case with female members), the customers are all local guys who don't usually travel with female family members or friends.
