“Cheap hotels”

“Reception staff fairly friendly bar staff not so we waited over 10 mins for a member of staff no show so I went to reception we’re both the reception lady and the lady from the bar were just casually chatting and no apology for keeping us waiting”

“Norma was absolutely wonderful, helpful and efficient. The accommodation was clean and tidy, shower was great. Breakfast was well varied and tasty. Evening meal was excellent. Bar and staff were good. Will be visiting again 😊”

“The reception was welcoming and made you feel that your stay will be comfortable. The room was clean but the furnitures shown years of neglect the fridge didn’t work and in the bathroom the basin was cracked and looked like this had happened years ago the toilet needs replacing, the tap over the basin was so short that as you attempt to use it the water was feeding back to the work surface instead of directly down into the basin. “The property is 400 yrs old so expect things to be uneven. The current owners have only been there a few years so maybe they still have work to do. The bedrooms are described on the website as "stylish "....I would say plain. The bedding was clean, bathroom ok but it was difficult to get the shower to the right temperature...it was either boiling or cold. Room 5 had a frosted window but it was hot so we had it open. The room could do with a slight update....e.g. more plug sockets and a bigger...
