Hotel Corot is in a okay option for the location if you’re visiting Rome. It’s just steps from Roma Termini Station, making it incredibly convenient for getting around the city or catching trains and airport transportation. There are also plenty of restaurants, cafés, and shops right across the street.
The room was clean, and I really appreciated that the air conditioning worked well because Rome is extremely hot during the summer. The bathroom was a good size and included a bathtub, which was a nice bonus. The breakfast was also very good with a nice selection, although the only egg option was cold boiled eggs.
On the downside the elevator is big enough for 1 person and 1 suitcase , the rooms are very dated, and the blankets looked like they hadn’t been updated in decades. The hairdryer in my room wasn’t working, which was inconvenient. I was also disappointed that the hotel doesn’t offer late check-out. My flight wasn’t until 9:00 PM, and I even offered to pay to stay until 2:00 PM, but they were unable to accommodate the request.
The lobby staff were polite and respectful throughout my stay, which I appreciated. Overall, while the location and cleanliness are definite positives, I think that for the price you can probably find a more modern hotel with better amenities in the area.
