Enjoyed our stay, the bed in the robin room was a little uncomfortable since it dipped down in the middle. Breakfast every morning was outstanding. We definitely recommend this place.

Very peaceful small town with the Inn right on the lake. Owner and help were very nice. B&B was quiet and relaxing with many places to sit and enjoy the lake front and the birds. Breakfast food was locally grown and or bought. Beautiful Bike path right along the property and along the lake and runs for miles. The beach was great and good for rock hunting and wading. Must do is visit the restored lighthouse right up the road. We will be back

Eclectic BNB with terrific views and lake access

The Purple Martin Inn is an eclectic BNB right on the shores of Lake Huron and within feet of a terrific bike trail that extends along the lakeshore. The flowers, birds, and butterflies can all be enjoyed in a large variety of sitting nooks across the property while gazing across at Lake Huron. The owner and staff are super friendly and welcoming, and the lodging is off the main road, so no road noise. Of the three first floor bedrooms, the Cardinal, Blue Jay and Hummingbird Nest rooms are best for couples. The Robin's Nest room is ideal for a single guest. The breakfasts are hearty and varied, and there is a small, shared refrigerator in the common area.

This is an eclectic property and may not be for everyone, but it was perfect for us. The upstairs rooms had a shared bathroom, but the trade off was a great outdoor space and second kitchen. The best part was our host Bonnie who made us feel right at home. It was a 4.5 for me and I loved it !!

The PMI was very clean and comfortable. Owners were great and their service and that of the staff was superb. A very unique and fun place to stay. Lake Huron could have been warmer (Ha!). Hope to return next year (we come up from Florida each year).

Die Location ist wunderschön, man hat den Strand fast für sich selbst. Die Geschichte von der Gebäude fand ich sehr interessant. Die Höhepunkt von Larry über seine Purple Martin Vögeln und ihrer Reise jährlich nach Brasil hat uns tief beeindruckt.
