The location was fantastic and incredibly convenient. The staff was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. While the food wasn’t exceptional, it was sufficient to keep us going. The hot tub was a bit chilly, and one of the elevators was out of service for the entire duration of our stay. However, the restaurant, THE WAVE, which is part of the hotel, was truly exceptional. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.

The staff was very friendly and attentive, supper good service at the restaurant upstairs. The room was big with beautiful view of the ocean, very comfortable bed and pillows! The location is amazing - right in the center and on the beach, was easy to get chairs and towels for the beach. Breakfast had huge variety of foods with great views of the beach. Just couple of things could be better- the towels were so old and discolored, it was sad to look at, the lamps on the nightstands - the same thing, just too beat up, and probably need to spray for bugs …

Hotel was nice, good location. Beautiful roof top pool, however a glass was broken and it was shut down while we were there- so that was a bummer. Kids play room was awesome as was the sauna. Breakfast daily was nice to be included but the food was just okay. Negatives: elevators took a very very long time and had long lines almost all hours of the day.

For over 15 years, I have been using the Rio Othon Palace 2x-3x per year. It is at a great location with many great restaurants, centrally located, shopping galoreand transportation options abound. The hotel has a great recently renovated rooftop with one of the best views of Rio's Copacabana Beach. The staff is very friendly and carries the typical 'carioca' hospitality. Awesome spot!
