The room was mostly clean. However, there was mold on the ceiling of the bathroom, and on tile grout. Baseboards were coming loose from the wall. There was a dingy smell in the poorly lit hallway.

Great Value with Exceptional Hospitality

This hotel is a great value for the price! The accommodations are comfortable, and they offer a decent breakfast to start the day. However, what truly sets this place apart is the outstanding staff. Everyone is incredibly friendly, helpful, and goes out of their way to make sure guests have the best experience possible. I stayed during Carnaval, and the hotel added such a fun and festive touch to the experience. They had adorable decorations, plus glitter and little trinkets for guests to use, which made the celebration even more special. If you're looking for a budget-friendly stay with exceptional hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere, this hotel is a fantastic choice. I would definitely stay here again!

Black mold!

We booked last minute and this was affordable and in the city from the description. My allergies flared up with the big black mold patch in the washroom. We checked out 3 days early. Customer service was great. Breakfast had not many options. The area is not the best but close to the steps and some markets!

Located in Lapa, many restaurants, shops and super market within walking distance. The property was clean and the room was spacious. I stayed on the 12th I didn’t hear any noise or had any problems with my room. I usually stay in the Copa cabana beach area but the prices were expensive, so I researched the Lapa area and I was nervous after reading reviews about the homeless people and safety in the area. This hotel had a great rate per night so i decided to book the room. Uber is very affordable and safe in Rio De Janiero so getting around is very easy. On the second day I walked to the supermarket and eat at a few of the local restaurants and i felt safe during the day walking alone. Ruan at the front desk and the lady that worked with him they both displayed excellent service and offered assistance to help with anything that I needed during my stay. Arian spoke very good English. I would stay there again and I would recommend this property if you’re staying in the Lapa neighborhood. Thanks for everything!

The hotel room was great. The reception staff was also very helpful & shockingly, she spoke perfect English. The rest of the country either refuses to speak English or cant. Whilst the hotel service was great, the neighbourhood is extremely sketchy. I didnt feel safe and would not venture out alone in broad daylight beyond the front porch of the hotel. The only reason to book this hotel is its close proximity to the Sambadrome.

The street leaving to the hotel looks and smells terrible, the rooms are not soundproofed, there was hair in the shower, the ac units are very loud, the customer service is terrible, the blankets were either torn or missing. Avoid unless you're desperate.

O custo benefício é ótimo, equipe super educada e atenciosa. Muito bom café da manhã. A Localização agrada quem vem a trabalho para região da Lapa, ou quem curte toda agitação das ruas no entorno. O Centro do Rio, nessa região, apesar de super movimentada, principalmente, nos finais de semana, pode assustar a quem não está adaptado à zona que é a Lapa, muitos estabelecimentos fechados, patrimônio histórico degradado, à excessão de muitos revitalizados bem na Av Mende Sá e adjacências. Mas um local divertido afinal.

Fiquei insatisfeito com a hotel por algumas coisas: o quarto não tinha cobertor, e cheguei a pedir um na recepção e não recebi. A tampa do vaso sanitário estava solta e no banheiro não tinha toalha de rosto. No dia de check-out, aconteceu algo inacreditável: uma camareira bateu na porta do meu quarto às 9h, perguntando se eu tinha interesse em "exercer a opção de fazer o check-out naquele horário", e eu estava dormindo. Em momento algum ela disse que o hotel daria desconto na diária caso eu optasse por sair mais cedo, ou seja, foi apenas um procedimento que obriga as camareiras a tentar fazer com que os clientes saiam mais cedo para que o hotel ganhe $$$ cobrando meia diária para os clientes que desejam entrar mais cedo. Definitivamente, foi uma péssima experiência.
