Casita espectacular

Cerca del lago Jokulsarlon,con una cascada detras,vistas espectaculares, se ve la aurora desde el sofá del comedor si el cielo está despejado.Muy cómodo con sus dos baños.No hay supermercado en kilómetros, llevar víveres suficientes.Muy limpio y tranquilo. Que depresión volver a nuestro mísero piso de Madrid.

Prachtig appartement met een schitterende ligging tegen de berg aan met uitzicht op de waterval. Goede bedden. Boven een vide met 2 bedden, echter geen gordijnen! In het voorjaar/ zomer is de slaapkamer de hele nacht licht. Inchecken via Gerdi guesthouse op 2 minuten rijden.

Great location - less than 15 minutes from Jokulsarlon / Glacier Lagoon. Cozy cabin with beds for 6, great view of the waterfall, and 2 close restaurants. Perfect for families or big groups.

There was a long line at check-in so we had to wait about 10 minutes and then drive to our room which was only a few minutes away. The Wi-Fi wasn’t working when we first got there, but they sent someone over to check it out and the problem was fixed within the hour. We were able to see the northern lights from the front yard and we really enjoyed the big front porch. There were also waterfalls right in our backyard.

The room unfortunately had bed bugs. It was our first night in Iceland and thankfully we were only 1 night at the property. In addition 1 of 2 heaters in the living room was not working and so it was colder than it needed to be. Communication with the host was poor - we reached out a number of times on the bed bug issue but got no response. Am just glad that the stay was only one night and didn’t ruin the rest of our vacation

We had a great experience staying at the Old Cottages. The location is absolutely amazing, with a beautiful waterfall right out back that made the setting feel peaceful and unique. The layout of the cottage was well thought out and comfortable, making it easy to relax and enjoy our time there. Everything we needed was provided, and the surroundings were perfect for unwinding. We truly enjoyed our stay and only wish we had more time to spend there. We would definitely love to come back in the future.

門口明明有放鎖匙的codelock，但不知道為何要我到餐廳拿password，再回bnb開codelock拿鎖匙。Old cottage是一間有特色的bnb，它沒有很寬敞，是小小的很cozy那種，廁所很整潔，小小一個房子有兩個浴室也很讚。

We loved our stay in the luxury cottage. It was bright and clean and perfect for our family of 3. The location is great for doing things in the south such as Diamond Beach/Jökulsárlón Lagoon, Múlagljúfur Canyon, and Svartifoss. We would recommend the luxury cottage.

Lovely location (10 mins to Diamond beach / Glacier Lagoon) with a beautiful mountain view. However, external modern images don’t match the dated interior. It needs a refresh. Kitchen is old and has the bare minimum of items ( 2 bowls). Washing liquid was watered down. It just felt as if you were getting the bare minimum which is disappointing for the price. Check in process isn’t that clear (read the notes as check in is at another property). Wasn’t a massive issue but there was a lack of response to communication when this question was asked. Loft bedroom doesn’t have a curtain.

This cottage was amazing! Cute, clean, comfortable, quiet. It was everything we could have wanted and all that we needed for a family of 4 (two teens). It was no problem to check-in at Gerdi's nearby. It is a little hard to find, so you may either need some patience in the dark or want to arrive while it's light. It's worth it though! Bonus: the waterfall is lit up at night, so during the short days of winter, it can be enjoyed. You can hear and see the waterfall when outside but not inside, so it does not disturb sleep. Highly recommend this place!

BED BUGS! That s all I should have to say about this properly! My son woke to being bitten and killed 3 bugs in his bed and had to sleep on the couch with no pillow or blanket for fear of these bugs being in all the bedding. He told us in the morning and we found and took pictures and videos of 3 more that were clearly by researching internet/AI identified as bed bugs. DISGUSTING We were checking out anyway for the trip but I immediately called the check in guest services to tell them and they would come out to look and take care of the bugs (which we know is VERY HARD to rid them). I told them this was not acceptable conditions for a VERY expensive night stay and now our suitcases could bring them home as well. He told me to call Expedia for a refund…. Well Expedia says they refuse now to even give a partial refund and they not have to. How disgusting and worst fear as we could bring them now to our home and then just be dismissed which tells me they are not taking it seriously and will just put another family in there again night after night. STAY AWAY!!!! Check-in was also terrible as the directions to guesthouse were incorrect. Another couple after us had the same problem and we were all driving in circles trying to find the check in. If they would offer a refund I would feel better that they plan to treat the bugs, but clearly they are IGNORING THE ISSUE. Pics and video clearly show we are in the cottage and where bed is.

Beautiful location with waterfalls right behind. Easy to access and park. Check in took a bit of time as had to go to another property and received the code which could have come via email or message instead but was close by anyways. Property was very nice. Person at check-in was friendly and helpful. Spacious cabin with plenty of room for our family of 5. Nice beds, nice bathrooms and kitchen was great.

Pleasant stay in Cottages

We overnighted in the old cottages and was very comfortable and nice. The cottage was spacious yet cozy. Very clean, nicely furnished, and had 2 bathrooms! The only suggestion would be to add a curtain to the bathroom windows for privacy. Wonderful waterfalls in the back.

The Old Cottage was a small drive from reception. This proved to be worthwhile since it was beautifully located in front of waterfalls and among trees. It was truly wonderful to be in an accomodaiton that allowed you to enjoy the natural beauty of Iceland. The accomodation was also very spacious and clean. My party was extremely happy to have seperate spaces in the property. We wish we were able to stay longer. The staff was very helpful in communicating with me and I appreciated the fact that they had breakfast/dinner available.
