Hotel 101 is located conveniently in the downtown area and close walking distance to many restaurants and pubs. The rooms were very clean and the staff was very helpful. Hotel 101 food was great. I’d definitely stay at Hotel 101 again!

There is another hotel with a similar name called 101 Hotel. Make sure to use the address so you don't confuse the two. Hotel is small but clean with friendly staff. Allowed us to store our luggage, however, I would recommend for the hotel to have a video recorder watching the luggage.

Great QUIET location close enough to walk to bars and restaurants, but far enough away that you can sleep with the window open without being disturbed by noise from the bars or the Main Street. Rooms are cosy and affordable. Breakfast was really affordable (about $16 US, other hotels charged $46 US). I would stay here again!

Location very convenient to old harbor end of Reykjavik, and within walking distance of other big sights. Nice neighborhood for walking around in. Hotel staff very friendly. Convenient restaurant and bar on premises. Room very compact with somewhat inconvenient spaces to put luggage etc. Nice shower with very nice high end Icelandic herb shampoo, conditioner and soap. A real treat.

We arrived quite early and were greeted by friendly staff who did offer us the option of an early check in, as the room was ready, but for an additional fee. (If the room is already made up, this could have been waived). We passed on that and they were happy to look after our bags while we explored the harbour area. The room was good and the breakfast choice was excellent. Happy hour at the bar was also really good, with friendly and attentive staff. All round, an excellent hotel and location, with the town centre just a few mins walk away. Would stay again.

The staff were helpful in every way. From the second we walked in the door to the moment we left, they were always helpful and offering solutions to make our trip enjoyable and relaxing. We stayed one night, left for an overnight tour, and then stayed a second night - we were able to store our larger suitcase while we went on the bus tour, which was a huge relief for a mom traveling along with a child. We enjoyed the restaurant (although the menu was limited and there was not much for my son to eat) and then the staff were helpful in recommending other restaurants for our second night there. Our room was also upgraded the first night, which was much appreciated. The breakfast was fabulous! I'm not sure how I booked one night with a complimentary breakfast and the other without, but the prices were pretty reasonable and the selection of food was great. The location of the hotel felt both off the beaten path but also in the heart of things. A perfect location, really. The bus stop for tour pick up was only a 5 minute easy walk. Would definitely stay again!
