Everyone we spoke to was helpful and professional, no complaints about the property. It was lovely being near the end of the boardwalk, you get a bit better spot on the beach when you aren’t smack in the middle of everyone else. We’ve gone here twice now and it’s pretty much ideal.

Great hotel! The location is perfect, right on the beach at the end of the boardwalk. The beach is less crowded, but you’re still close enough to the center of town for restaurants and shopping. The hotel itself is very clean and has great amenities - a drink station where you can grab hot beverages and water all day, access to a restroom with a shower and changing room so you can stay on the beach after check out, ocean view balconies, the list goes on. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay again!

We had a great start here! The staff was very helpful and I loved the old school charm of the lobby. Our rooms were quite clean and functional, the hallways were mostly quiet, and it was so convenient to get to the beach and the boardwalk. We’ll be returning, for sure

The staff was nice, helpful and notified me when the room would be ready. The room was very clean, spacious, the terrific view on the balcony was the cherry on top for this great stay. The location is unbeatable. Direct access to the boardwalk and beach aswell as being a small but perfectly walkable distance away from the main streets and attractions.

We stayed 3 nights in august of 2026 The room was extremely clean. Parking in rehoboth beach is expensive. It was a great plus to have the parking garage at the hotel. Access to the beach was excellent. The staff was friendly and informative. We have visited rehoboth beach at least twenty times this is the first time at the henlopen, we would certainly stay there again

We decided to stay on the quieter end of the boardwalk this year, and this hotel was a great choice. It is well-maintained and just a few steps from the beach. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was cleaned timely every day and everything was restocked. We had an ocean view balcony, and we were able to enjoy the ocean from our room.

First time visiting Rehobeth Beach and we will absolutely be back! The Henlopen Hotel was perfect! Located on the beach at the end of the boardwalk it was both convenient and quiet! Perfect if you don’t necessarily want to be in the middle of all the action but just steps away when you do! Staff was very friendly, room was clean and had that “beach” feel which is perfect. Took an advantage of the complimentary coffee/tea. Loved the rockers overlooking the beach and our side balcony beach view was great! Also located right by Camp Henlopen State Park which is worth spending some time in - both nature and history!! I highly recommend this hotel!

We had an ocean front room. The view was beautiful, nice furniture on the balcony. The room was large very clean. There was a microwave and a refrigerator, a large bathroom ,air conditioner worked well, very convenient to the beach, right on the end of the boardwalk. Parking was a little tight, but we were driving a truck. If you have a small car it was fine. The parking was free and covered, a plus. We had a great time would definitely go back to this hotel.

The hotel is in a great location with beautiful views. Its an older hotel, but well maintained and the room was very clean. Checking in was a bit late, but we parked in their free lot and changed in the available bathroon that includes a changing room and shower with fresh towels. Then we enjoyed the beach until the room was ready.

The staff’s customer service skills were exceptional, the room was clean and the ocean view was great. I booked for 1 night but decided to stay an extra night and was given the same room because the customers that booked my room decided they wanted a two queen bed room not the king room, so I got to keep the king room. The beach is a few feet away and there is a patio that faces the beach where you can sit and relax. I give Henlopen Hotel five stars plus and the bonus is it is clean affordable. Thank you for an amazing hotel experience!

The hotel itself is no frills, but it is right on the beach. We enjoyed being at the end of the boardwalk - it was only about an 8 minute walk (with a 3 year old) to the main street with lots of stores and restaurants (the main drag). Coffee and pastries were a swing and a miss, but expected. The onsite, free garage parking is definitely a huge plus.
