The property is modern, furnished and equipped to a high standard and has the convenience of a parking space being included. It is not located in the most convenient or nicest part of Reading and also we did not appreciate the incredibly inflexible no-cancellation policy and also an excessively high damage deposit, which did make the whole experience feel excessively "corporate". Also, whilst there were fans provided, it was incredibly hot which made it difficult to sleep. However, overall the property worked for us for our visit and was (other than the heat) very clean, comfortable and to a high specification.

Great little home from home

The apartment was spacious, modern and clean. We had everything we needed - including a hob and oven, a fridge/freezer and a washing machine, as well as the standard hairdryer, iron and ironing board. The building is secure, and despite being close to Oxford Road, we were not disturbed by traffic noise. We were staying at the apartments during the heatwave, and a powerful fan was provided, which was helpful as we were on the top floor and had skylight-style windows, which meant it was swelteringly hot - I'm sure it's nice and cosy in cooler weather though, as there was an adjustable thermostat. The only inconveniences were the freezer compartment, which would not stay shut, and the fact that we only had one set of keys between two of us. Being fair to the Kennet Apartments team, we didn't ask if there was an option to have a second set. The Kennet Apartments team were very helpful when I had issues sending the deposit, and by arranging for us to stay extra nights at short notice without having to move apartment. They were also quick to spot that we had left an item behind and organise getting it back to us. We were very impressed with their professionalism and friendliness. We would definitely stay again!

It's conveniently located with plenty of affordable dining options and markets nearby. It's a nice 30-minute stroll to the city center or to the Thames River. The 2 bedroom place itself was nicely remodeled. The city could do a better job maintaining the sidewalks.

These apartments were definitely an excellent choice. The apartments are beautifully kept and well cleaned. The area provided access to all types of food and groceries. However, the Tesco Extra is a personal favorite and its close walking distance was the best. These apartment were also very close to the city’s main shopping areas. We loved the safety and security provided on and in the properties. We have already decided that we would definitely choose this property or one of their (Kennet) other properties when we visit Reading again and I would HIGHLY recommend to anyone considering a place to stay when in the city.
