“We were made very welcome by John and hadall we needed for a very comfortable stay with our two dogs. There were lots of little touches that added to our good experience-including welcome bags for each dog and more than adequate continental breakfast. We would highly recommend a d stay again. “I came with the intention of simply using the Old Inn as a place to sleep as we had to attend an event nearby, but everything was so good we intend to return just to spend time at the old Inn and the village.”

“The key was collected from the shop serving the petrol station which I didn’t know at the time. There is a Greggs and Subway which is very handy for food etc. also the garage station is a Londis which sells items as well. The actual rooms are located behind the building of Greggs and Subway hidden away from the main public area and road. My room was clean and the bathroom was clean and functional. “We needed somewhere to stay with our dog and this limits your choices. However, the Golden Fleece was very clean, good supply of refreshments in the room, shower was powerful and hot water plentiful. They even supplied a fan to cool the room, although it wasn't great, it shows a level of care and consideration for guests and was appreciated. The owners we met were friendly and I would definitely consider staying again if we visit the area again. Only negative is they need to remove the cobwebs...

“We were greeted with a handshake which is always a good start. Our hosts, Neil and Rosemarie were welcoming and eager to make sure our stay was a good one. Our room was spacious as was the bathroom and shower. We were pleased with the coffee machine and the fridge on the landing for the cold milk.
