Our stay at Makayla Palms was absolutely fantastic. We had not stayed in this part of the island before, but it was truly perfect and we can’t wait to stay with you again next year! Before we arrived, the communication was excellent. We had a late check in, when the office was closed, but everything had been communicated to us regarding keys etc beforehand so we arrived and settled in with no problems. We were a group of five and we stayed in a 2 bedroom villa and we also had a rollaway bed in the living space for our teenage son. This worked really well and we still had plenty of space to move around in the living area. The covered outdoor patio area was perfect for seeking a bit of shade on a hot afternoon - with both comfy outdoor furniture, loungers and table/chairs for eating outdoors. There was also an outdoor shower and clothesline which was great after a beach visit. The beach - wow it really was spectacular. The light sand, clear water and palm trees all around - perfection. For a busy school holiday period, we hardly saw anyone else on the beach. The snorkelling was excellent with so many fish just metres from shore amongst the coral. What we loved most was that the coral wasn’t everywhere so you could swim around it without the risk of hitting the coral. Kayaks were available to use too as were reef shoes and life jackets if needed. The clear water was so inviting. We truly loved our stay and wished we’d been able to stay longer. Next time we will!
