So first off, Expedia didn't book the reservation correctly and they were at full capacity. Expedia basically said "oh, no problem, we'll put you somewhere else" without realizing, that, well, no, that actually is a problem and Expedia sucks. If I can't count on you to keep a reservation, you're not useful to me so this will be the last time I use Expedia for a trip.
That all said, Craig at the front desk somehow figured it out. He made a few calls and a room magically opened. I assume this means a murder will soon be reported in Cary, NC and it will never be solved but obviously NMFP.
All the staff were amazing and helpful.
The stovetop isn't super intuitive. Gemini told me what to do but these guys really could use a stovetop cheat sheet. Sometimes you have to turn the "key" on, sometimes not. Anyway, once it's set so that the rest of the input is at least accepted, you have to first turn a wall dial timer (which auto-shuts off the stovetop after 10 min or so), then power it on, then choose each burner, power it on, then set the heat, and every now and then it turns itself off for no reason I could figure out but whatevs. We thought the room had an oven but it doesn't.
Room was clean, coffee area was well stocked near the front desk with free coffee. Every now and then, one of the staff would let our daughter thief a free ice cream bar ;)
Great place to stay and very happy with the staff. A little less happy with Expedia.
