This hotel was so amazing! The staff were so kind and helpful all throughout. From ensuring someone was going to let me in and do a very late check in at 3:30 in the morning, to being able to hold our luggage, everyone at the Hotel Casa Alquimia was kind, courteous, and helpful. I remember feeling very sad when we had to check out, because I was so grateful for everyone’s kindness. The rooms were massive: very clean, very comfortable, and very cozy. The location is also phenomenal and convenient to the touristic sites of Quito. Ecuador collectively is a beautiful country! There is no doubt we are returning and will certainly be coming back to Hotel Casa Alquimia.

Amazing location convenient to many historic center locations. Very clean property, very nice rooms, and breakfast every morning was quick and delicious. If you don't want noise from the street consider one of the rooms that does not face the square. Our room looked out to the square and we enjoyed that very much, and the balcony doors do well to decrease the noise (road noise decreases greatly after 8:30p). We enjoyed our stay very much and would be happy to visit again.

Casa Alquimia preserves its colonial architecture and holds historical details that transport you back in time as you walk through its hallways. From its terrace, you can enjoy delicious breakfast or simply admire the city views with the Panecillo hill in the background. The rooms are spacious and have hot water, and you'll find water dispensers in the hallways so you can refill your bottles. Its location is great for exploring the city center or using it as a base for quick walking or driving excursions. Service was always attentive and friendly. Notes: - Bring cash to pay for the stay and avoid an additional 8.5% required if paying with credit card. - Be mindful this location is right at the city center, with the usual noise level (from traffic and people) for such an area.

The hotel is quaint and has an historic charm. The staff is helpful, welcoming and pleasant . There is a very nice breakfast in a nice space on the roof top. The hotel is on a busy square, so at least from our room it was a bit noisy. Then again part of the charm, here, is the old town location.

Beautiful hotel with great history. Immediate surrounding area is fine during the day but dangerous at night. No AC, so need to leave the balcony doors open at night but the area is loud all night long with traffic and people yelling. Booked room for 4 but only had a twin bed and a large bed which would accommodate 3- so sleeping was tight and uncomfortable. No wash cloths and needed to get toilet paper multiple times due to inadewuate amount. Breakfast is good in a lovely rooftop breakfast room. Purified water is always available in the hallways, which was great.

The property is centrally located in Quito. The staff provided excellent service. The establishment offers a rustic and charming ambiance, truly reflecting Ecuadorian culture. Please be advised that while there is no on-site parking, several parking lots are available nearby. We found the rates to be approximately $1 per hour and $5 for overnight parking. I would suggest this location for those who appreciate being within walking distance of various attractions.

This is an absolutely beautiful property, meticulously maintained, with loads of charm. Our room was huge and the view was wonderful. Breakfast was tasty, and you are within an easy walk of the historic plaza. What to know before you go... this is on a busy street, and we heard traffic all night long. Also, because the building is old, we could hear every footstep of the guests above us. Bring earplugs and everything else will be wonderful.

Great little hotel in the historic area of Quito. Very walkable and also close to a subway entrance (San Francisco) to get to other parts of the city. Staff was very friendly and helpful with recommendations. The arranged for an airport pick-up for us and also an early morning ride to the airport when we were leaving.
