L'Intendant is a charming small B&B. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and while the breakfast is the same every day, it is quite enjoyable. The B&B has three levels, but there is no elevator, so be cautious if you have mobility issues.

The location was excellent for exploring the area. Breakfast was delicious every day and real maple syrup and homemade jam were appreciated! Gerald offered assistance when needed and his dry sense of humour amusing) There was no kettle in the room if you wish to make coffee or tea. We would recommend this establishment and would stay here again.

We recently stayed at L'Intendant as a family of four. Overall, we had a comfortable stay, but there are a few things future guests should know. **Pros:** * The room was spacious and comfortably accommodated all four of us. * The room and bathroom were clean. * The bathroom and room were well-equipped with complete amenities. * The location is convenient for exploring Quebec City's attractions. **Cons:** * Our room was on the third floor, and there is no elevator, so carrying luggage up and down the stairs was quite difficult, especially for anyone traveling with seniors or heavy bags. * Breakfast was included, but it was disappointing. On the first morning, my husband found a hair on his fruit plate, which affected our experience. * On our second morning, we had to leave very early to drive back home. We asked if it would be possible to receive our included breakfast as a simple takeaway since it only consisted of croissants, fruit, cheese, juice, and coffee. Unfortunately, our request was not accommodated, even though breakfast was included in our booking. * During breakfast, the owner jokingly took our phone and commented that using a phone during meals is unhealthy. We understand that no harm was intended, but it felt awkward and made us uncomfortable. * Parking is not free, and the parking area is located behind the building, requiring guests to drive around to access it.

Had a wonderful stay. The host was welcoming. The location was excellent. I especially loved the charming antique design, which gave the hotel a unique character. The breakfast was delicious and a great way to start the day. I would definitely recommend staying here.

The premises are rundown and neglected. Access to the rooms with our luggage was almost a health hazard. The single member of the hotel staff was not flexible and came off as unwelcoming and abrasive. Will not return this hotel.

Gerard was accommodating, we appreciate him waiting for us until 10:30pm because the train was delayed. We really enjoyed the breakfast he prepared. We liked the music he plays to create good vibes, and his dry sense of humour. The room will give you a glimpse of what room looks like in the past. The room was not perfect if you’re looking for a fancy room but it is neat, tidy and will give you a good sleep. Thank you Gerard 🤗

Quebec City adventure

This was a very comfortable provision for our one night stay following our cruise from Boston. A great price and location alternate to the congested pricey accommodations in the walled upper-old city. Just 2 blocks from the gated entry at Cote du Palais. The host was most helpful in securing our taxi for our 4am trek to the airport. Technology kicked us, the taxi was not an app request through Uber, we paid him in cash; however Uber picked the ride up on my app and not realizing this had occurred, I paid all over again when I gave a 5 star plus tip for what I thought was an incomplete ride from a previous port excursion. So Uber users beware. We are taking this in stride as we learned at airport that some were unable to secure rides in advance and therefore spent the night at the airport! Sadly, we missed the breakfast due to our early departure.

Location is fantastic. No elevator, parking is not free, it is public parking lot a block away, Place is old and it shows. It’s a good value in Old Quebec, but unless you have good sense of sarcastic humor and tolerance, this hotel might be a bit of a surprise.

Quarto amplo e limpo, café da manhã bom servido pelo divertido Gerald. Muito bem localizado, próximo a estação de trem Gare di Palais, e próximo a rua St. Jean, e as atrações da parte velha de Quebec.
