Grand Bavaro Princess has a great location, a beautiful beach, and comfortable, well-equipped rooms. Unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing, mainly because of two major issues: food quality and staff attentiveness/friendliness.
The food served at the restaurants was consistently low-quality and nearly flavorless—even, and perhaps especially, at the specialty restaurants. For an all-inclusive resort, the food should be one of the highlights, but here it was one of the biggest disappointments.
The staff, at all levels, was generally inattentive and often seemed to have an “I don’t care” attitude. Service felt impersonal and, at times, frustrating.
I would definitely not recommend Grand Bavaro Princess if you are looking for a quality all-inclusive experience.
One additional warning: Be very careful with the “concierge” offer. We were told that because we had booked through Expedia, we were entitled to receive some “free gifts.” What followed was actually a roughly two-hour presentation with their timeshare sales team. In my opinion, this is a misleading and very shady sales tactic. We felt tricked into attending the presentation.
The beach and location are beautiful, and the rooms are good, but those positives were not enough to make up for the poor food, lack of attentive service, and questionable sales tactics. There are much better all-inclusive options in Punta Cana.
