Hyatt has taken over the property and it is not as well maintained as it was when I was there last year. The price has gone up but the standards are lowered for the upkeep of the rooms. It still was a good stay for the price for the current economy but I did notice a difference from my stay last year. The place is beautiful especially in the pool area.

I really enjoyed my stay at this resort! Overall, I had a great experience and enjoyed my time there. The resort was beautiful, and I had a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The only issue I experienced was with the shower water. After the first day, the water would not stay hot and was mostly cold for the remainder of my stay, which was disappointing since I was there Monday through Friday. Other than the water issue, I really enjoyed the resort and would still recommend it. I had a great time overall and would definitely consider staying again!

This was our first trip to Punta Cana and Bahia Principe Aquamarine Resort. The resort was amazing, the staff was very friendly, accomodating and attentive to our needs. We were actually given the choice of room and the view we wanted when we checked in. The food was 5 star restaurant quality. The property grounds were spotless and well manicured. All the amenities were spot on. For a first-time vacation in the DR it was spectacular. Looking forward to returning again.
