The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean though my mother's room did smell like smoke. The pool was full of bugs and the hot tub water was hazy. The staff and the rooms = 5 ! The pool and hot tub = 3. The area is a little rough = 2. Breakfast was really good though =5! Over all a good value for the price.

The River Tree is an excellent value here in this waterfront town of Clarkston. The rooms are clean, spacious, and well-furnished. They serve a REAL breakfast, starting very early. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. The price is very reasonable. This is my GO-TO place on my frequent trips here.

One thing that always bothers me about hotel breakfasts is their toasters are always really slow. But that’s not my bank complaint the potatoes or maybe called hashbrowns were dried out not worth eating. The other options were good. I really like the cleanliness of the place for the Price I was impressed. The exterior color is un impressive.

We were traveling through and needed a room. I checked reviews, which were highly rated, so we rented a room. We had two queen beds with a small kitchen, which we didn't use, but it was very nice. The breakfast was nice simple and started serving at 5am.The room was very spacious and clean. We would definitely stay there again if we're in the area again.

The room was very clean, but the refrigerator was so cold it froze my soda, my non smoking room smelled like cigarette smoke, the light in the bathroom flickered, and there seemed to be a mentally ill shoeless man hanging around the doorway to the office. Also the pool was a bit buggy....the staff was very helpful and fixed the problems though.
