“Poor Management of a Smoke-Free Hotel Despite being advertised as a smoke-free hotel, the property has a serious and apparently unmanaged smoking problem. Upon entering our original room, we immediately noticed a strong cigarette smell. We were moved to another room in the afternoon, which initially seemed fine. However, when we returned in the evening, both the room entrance and restroom smelled strongly of cigarette smoke again. The front desk staff were friendly and courteous, but there...

“The door to my room was left open before I arrived so the room had several insects inside. The staff also didn't seem prepared for international guests. The view from the facility is very nice, but overall the hotel looks a bit poorly maintained compared to the pictures.”

“Uniquely designed complex with beautiful gardens. Friendly staff.”

“Extremely local chinese hotel. English speaking staff were far and few. Staff all hesitant and not confident to deal with foreigners so the communication was a struggle. But everyone was nice and polite. The common areas are not well maintained (i.e. lobby) so if you are looking for an upscale experience this is not your place. Most importantly the operations and management of the place is very poor. Everyone was all over the place. It was a mess. The team couldn’t manage the guests and it...

“Within walking distance to Dali old city (approx. 10-15min), room is comfortable, many restaurants near by.”
