“Sehr schönes Hotel mit liebevoll und hochwertig eingerichteten Zimmern. Punktabzug gibt es für: 1. man muss beim Frühstück extra zahlen, wenn man eine „Kaffeespezialität“ wie einen Cappuccino bestellen möchte. 2. unter unserem Tisch im Zimmer lag noch Dreck vom vorherigen Gast. 3. am Abend wurden wir an der (nicht sehr vollen) Bar nicht proaktiv bedient, sondern sind nach einigen Minuten an die Bar zum bestellen gegangen. “Great place to stop off either to stay or eat”

“I don't think I've ever been made to feel so unwelcome at a hotel or B'n'B. We were using public transport. We were dropped off by taxi at 10am. Obviously we weren't expecting to check in but I've never stayed anywhere where luggage storage isn't available. The owner's immediate reaction was to tell us we check in isn't until 2. She did allow us to leave the luggage but I was taken aback at the unwelcoming attitude. We came back at 2. Owner complained that she had no details about the booking....

“This was the culmination of a self-promise made 11 years ago. Then, we had afternoon tea on the patio, but can’t remember how we discovered Portloe. We said we should stay here if we ever visit Cornwall again. Fast forward to now; an unexpected opportunity to re-visit Cornwall. And it came to pass.
