Posadas en Poxwell

“Beautiful building. Ian, the manager, was absolutely fantastic. Highly recommended place to stay.”

“Fue un poco diferente a lo esperado, la habitación era minuscula, desde ventana solo veiamos el tejado del bar y teniamos la salida de humos delante. Habia arañas por todas partes, la cama se inclinava hacia el cabezero. Tuvimos que dormir en los pies. De los pies de la cama a la paret habia 10 cm. Con mucha humedad. Es un lugar para nada recomendable. El almuerzo era acceptable. ”

“Characterful thatched inn in countryside location. Comfortable room & good breakfast.”

“The hotel is very well run and the hosts are very helpful. The rooms are a decent size. Although it took a while for the water to warm up in the shower. I acknowledge that this is beyond the owner’s control, but my second floor room overlooked a junction and the traffic was noisy . At about 4am a lorry collected the empty glass bottles. The noise of the crash as the glass shattered was shocking. Avoid a roadside room on a Wednesday morning….if you want undisturbed sleep.”

“Great staff, lovely environment and super place to stay.”

“OK room - no air con but understandable give the age of the building. Bed was OK, but traffic noise is noticeable, especially with the window open (remember there is no air con), so not the best nights' sleep. Staff were fantastic though, especially the breakfast server and the breakfast itself was great.”

“The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. They went above and beyond when were stranded due to the storm and needed to extend our stay. The hotel was clean and facilities were perfect for our stay- thank you!”

“We stayed at the Brace of Pheasants for one night and it was really lovely. The room was big, airy and beautifully furnished. The bed was very comfortable and the linen was lovely. We ate dinner in the pub and it was absolutely delicious. I am coeliac and Matt, the owner, was very knowledgeable when helping me to decide what to have. There were several choices for me and I can thoroughly recommend the lamb. My husband was on crutches when we stayed and the staff were very thoughtful and...

“Han sido muy amables todo el personal. El hotel ests muy bien , y la comida es muy buena con buena relación calidad precio. Lo pasamos muy bien.”

“Great family friendly accommodation and pub. We felt truly welcomed with our little one! We will return when in the area. ”

“el hotel esta muy bien en todos los sentidos, pero es neceasrio poner mas carteles indicando donde esta el hotel situado.”

“Room was clean but starting to look a little bit tired. Had a great nights sleep.”

“Interesting old pub in historic Cerne Abbas. Restaurant and bar are excellent. Food is prepared well and served hot! Our room was tiny. It had an old bed with an uncomfortable mattress that should be replaced. Pillows were not great. Heating was on a timer, so it was cold when we arrived and came on when at dinner. Heating was not operating in the morning.”

“It’s a rural pub with a big heart! Welcoming and friendly. Would love this as my local, and was treated as if we were.”

“The bed was clearly very old as the mattress was lumpy and had a ridge where people before me had slept. The fridge leaked on to the carpet even though there was nothing in there. The pub good was very good though”

“Very enjoyable stay at The George. Staff very helpful, breakfast was great, didn't need lunch any of the days we stayed. Room 3 was perfect for a family, two separate rooms with a bathroom in between.”
