It’s a quirky place as you might expect for a hotel in an old courthouse, but we enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly and the included breakfast was good. I would stay there again next time I’m in Powell River.

The hotel is a historical building, located in the historical town center of Powell River. The staff was friendly and helpful. We got a free room upgrade, and our room was clean and comfortable. The room rate included a hot breakfast, great value for money.

We loved staying at this quaint hotel. Staff were courteous, helpful & efficient. Perfect location for our needs, with a great brunch. Comfortable beds with 4 pillows each. Shower has strong pressure. Very clean. Really enjoyed our visit there and will definitely stay here again!

Beautiful well maintained building full of antiques with so much history & original character, located in the historical district. Nice safe area to walk & explore all the well preserved historical buildings as they were 100 years ago. Very nice & clean rooms. Bed in the ‘courthouse’ room was really comfortable after a long Sunshine Coast motorcycle road trip. The complimentary breakfast was fantastic. We stayed two nights & easily could have stayed longer. We’ll definitely be back!!! :)

It is a very old building and there were some issues one would expect with such an old place - plumbing was challenging, but functional, and there were sounds in the walls (mice?). But it did have character, the staff was great, the room was comfortable, and the morning breakfast was really good. The location was well off the beaten track, but if you have a car it is easy to get into the main part of Powell River, and to the beach :-)

Our room was beautiful and decorated with old-timey stuff, kinda like you're staying in an Edwardian grandma's guest room. AC was strong, water was hot and good pressure, bed comfy, Apple TV on the big-screen tv. Complimentary breakfast was excellent, both in taste and presentation, the best we'd had on the sunshine coast.

Not quite what I expected. The hotel is very quaint, historic and rustic. The included breakfast is good, however, the restaurant is closed on Mondays so you are out of luck if you are staying on a Monday. You can ask for a bagged breakfast, but it wasn't the greatest. There isn't much in the area, as it is the old part of the city.

All the antiques and each room had a different name and decor. We stayed in the Judges Chamber. The room was very small but great amenities like power packs to plug in USB cords. A Nespresso coffee maker with china cups and saucers. Glass wine and drinking glasses. The breakfast was awesome, once we got it. Breakfast isn’t available until 9 am. As seniors and early risers, we would have preferred 8am. We felt very sorry for the servers and manager as the Chef arrived about 20 minutes late. A little stressful if you are catching a ferry.

I loved the history of the building and all of the antiques. The breakfasts were excellent. The only disappointment was that Room 4 was supposed to be set up for early risers like me. Breakfast starts at 9 and I am often awake by 5:30. Room 4 did not have fruit or muffins as noted on the hotel card in our room. In fact it was in complete disarray with only a kettle and a few tea bags. Also could use instructions for TV. All in all enjoyed the stay

The hotel was was quirky in a wonderful way with a lot of collectibles and antiques thoughtfully arranged around the property. Our bed was very comfortable. This is a personal preference, I did not enjoy checking in by using the ring camera. I felt like I was bothering the staff member. In our room, the coffee pods had been previously used improperly and the sugars and creamers were old. The amenities room was not very clean and did not have any coffee pods I could get instead of the ones in our room. Our breakfast in the hotel was delicious and our waitress was very kind.
