I would give this property 5 stars if there weren't active construction across the street and at the property. It was very conveniently located and had great air conditioning. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable

Warm welcome from lovely staff, excellent location, very clean rooms, great shower, and nice to have a balcony. Very quiet despite a building refurb opposite. Also very easy access from airport by metro in 30 mins. Slept well despite the relatively firm mattress - but most Portuguese beds are rock hard! This wasn’t. Would come again.

Me and my husband stayed for a night at The Gate Hotel. Staffs are very polite and helpful. Thank you to Hillary Gonzalo for being so nice and making sure that we're please with everything. The room is very clean and the bathroom is updated and very clean as well. Its so sad that it was only for a night coz need to go to Lisbon. Location is great. Highly recommend to my friends and will sure comeback for more time to explore beautiful Porto.

This compact hotel hit all the right points for comfort. The room maximizes space with ingenious design. A modern bathroom came w a strong wall mounted hair dryer and good water pressure and spot on water temperature. The mattress was the best we had in our two week journey around Portugal and the lighting was well considered for all tasks. The room came with a safe and multiple English speaking channels on the wall mounted TV. The staff was so nice and accommodating. I look forward to return to this conveniently located hotel.

The location is just perfect. The renovation inside is pretty new and nice. Comfy bed. But surprisingly was really disappointed that shower drain was very clogged, so you can’t take a shower more than like 1-2 minutes. It just overflows the shower floor and runs into over the all floor. Also, floor coverings, laminate probably, was just super loose everywhere and damaged. But I would still recommend the place if they repair all these things, cause the location is super convenient.
