Whilst this hotel is rated 5*, I feel it is a little below this may 3 to 4 max.
The hotel's location isn't great & it isn't sufficiently peaceful enough for a tranquil Spa location, with a Trainline at the rear of the hotel & a main road at the the front. Whilst there is a Trainline, the nearest train station is 20mins walk.
There was meant to be a daily shuttle bus to Porto, however this was cancelled for the week of my stay. Therefore, I opted to buy a travel pass for 72 hours for €16.50 for use on bus, train & tram, which was reasonable. However travelling around Porto is a challenge.
There isn't a lot around the hotel apart from a Lidl & BP petrol station. Espinho is the near which is lovely The
The staff were pleasant & helpful, but not great at providing tourist information.
The pool & spa facilities were great to have most spa facilities are included, except for the hydrotherapy pool & body treatments.
Great to have free loan if your ok riding a situp & beg style bike. Bike near some tlc.
The beach is accessible, but a bit rocky, better 100mts on, more sand, but not for swimming. very rough. Fantastic sunsets.
A buffet style breakfast was included in my stay & the quality was ok but there was no daily variation & it's not a 5* experience.
Buffet dinner was available at €36.
Lunch cafe was from 12.30 - 3pm nice to have but again this was not a 5* experience.
My stay was ok, but I was disappointed about the cancelled daily shuttle.
