A hotel with a bit of old fashioned grandeur in its public spaces, a nice change from impersonal modern hotels. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient, the breakfast buffet had a very good selection of food and the whole hotel was very clean.

It is a very old hotel but very well preserved. The rooms are clean and renovated. The bed was great, although the pillow waa not that soft haha The breakfast was very good, not exagerated but enough to start the day. The location is awesome. But it is good to know that it is in a street for pedestrian only. However the metro is just two small blocks away. Overall it is a really good hotel. I would return to it and I surely recommend it

The hotel was beautiful and in such a fantastic location for shopping and exploring the rest of Porto. Our suite was very comfortable with had everything we needed for our stay. The welcome bottle of wine was very nice too! Breakfast was comprehensive and catered to my gluten free diet. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend staying here - we will definitely be back!

Great location in the heart of Porto. Spacious rooms, ample breakfast, helpful staff. The only difficulty was that there was no vehicle access to the building for purposes of loading/ unloading luggage which is fine if you don't have much more than carryon-sized luggage. Can be a problem to walk from the parking lots (public only) to the hotel with heavy baggage.

Location is perfect, you can walk to all the major spots, cafes and shops. Room was spacious and washroom was decent. The extra touch of wine was nice too. But the room was not cleaned well everyday. Went to the beach on our second day and the floor had sand even 2 days after. I did throw some of the sand from our shoes in the trash can but couple of days later it was still there, they didn’t bother properly emptying it. The worst was the air conditioning stopped working in our last night. Called front desk twice and no action was done. Didn’t even inform us till we called. Left the hotel it was still broken.

We love this hotel, and it was our second time there. It is very well located on a big shopping Street. It is clean. The employees are friendly. Breakfast is good. This time it was a bit noisy at night at the weekend (we were above the back street), but it did not prevent us from sleeping. We will definitely go back next time in Porto.
