Lovely hotel, especially the rooftop pool with fab views of the river & Porto. Breakfast a great bonus. All staff were friendly & helpful. Building work currently ongoing outside which is noisy if you have a room on the front which is no fault of the hotel. Would definitely stay again 😊

The staff were exceptional. We would like to mention Eduardo and Pedro from the Front Office, Sergio (bell boy), and Miguel from the Restaurant. The rest of the Restaurant staff were excellent too.

Room well maintained, staff very helpful! Breakfast nice selection, just needs oat milk, dairy free butter for diary intolerances. Breakfast and bar staff always very friendly. We used the Turkish steam room, sauna, pool and hot tub very nice just some tiles around the back wall of the pool needs some maintenance which spoils the look slightly! Overall we had a lovely 3 night stay.

We stayed at Altis Porto for 7 nights. The hotel was okay, not a 5 star. We stayed at 5 star hotels before. The front desk staff very helpful and friendly. However, the cleaning staff did not speak English. So it was hard to communicate with them.

The hotel is situated a little way out from the centre but in close proximity to what became our favourite bar and restaurant, Bosco. Whilst we don’t have a view from our room it was quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was perfect and the staff very helpful. We appreciated the welcome white port and purchased this as a result of the tasting. It’s quite an expensive hotel to stay at considering its location. The pool area whilst nice is very small and the beds were taken so we didn’t make use of it.

Like any great hotel, the staff is what differentiates between a one-time visit and multiple re-visits. Angelica, one of the staff members, provided my family with the warmth and professionalism that is often lacking in most hotel staff. My four-year old son was treated with kindness and my wife was utterly in love with the attention to detail provided. Aside from that, the location is prime with the only hinderance being the ongoing construction in front of the hotel which made the Uber drivers kind of wary. Other than that, the rooftop pool/bar, breakfast buffet, and lobby area were just keen. Thank you very much and we look forward to our next visit!

Overall a good hotel, very clean and with very helpful staff. The breakfast was excellent and again the breakfast staff were efficient and friendly in a busy environment. So the only gripe was the fact that having paid for a river facing balcony room, cheesed off to find heavy building work going on right on the forecourt front of the hotel affecting all the balcony rooms that were above it (most of them!). As such, the balcony was useless and coated in debris. There was no notice of this or reduction in price and not even a complementary drink/meal to compensate. As paid upfront on Expedia, no options. So, thankfully it was just for a few nights. The hotel would be very good when construction finished but management could have been a bit proactive in their attitude.

Everything about this stay was perfect the friendly, helpful staff, room was excellent and the whole hotel was super clean. Breakfast was amazing with a wide variety of hot and cold food. We ate in both the bar and the restaurant and the food was fantastic in both. I would highly recommend this hotel for a visit to Porto.
