The price was right! We mostly needed a place to sleep. It was clean, staff was nice, and the breakfast was good and hot. The pool and hot tub looked great, unfortunately we didn’t have time to use it. The work out room was small but I was the only one in there so it was great.

We always stay at the Pony Soldier when we are flying out of PDX. The layout with the courtyard around the pool is quiet and peaceful.. The front desk staff, cleaners, and breakfast providers are hard-working and courteous.

Chose this hotel solely for the PDX convenience and the reviews. It sits in a blue color neighborhood with a front door locked entry, for extra security. It’s wedged at a major hwy intersection which u can’t hear, a low income rv park, and a neighborhood. Oregon is a liberal state so be aware homelessness and drug usage is a common visual but, we felt completely safe at this hotel.

Good hotel. Dated but clean and we were happy with our stay. They did not accept cash which was an odd and confusing set of rules. Front door was locked. Which was also odd. But staff was as helpful as they could be. Lovely pool set up in a courtyard. Nice that the pool was not in the parking lot.

The breakfast was good and very convenient. The room smelled like an old smoking room with added scent trying to cover it up. I kept the window open and that helped. Bed was very comfortable.
