Port Republic Vacations

I was initially given a room with a broken lock and no working AC. I went back to the lobby to request another room, and was given a second room that was filthy. There was dirt in the corners of the room, a foul sewage odor that came from the bathroom, the bathroom toiletries looked as if they were just thrown on the counter and the bedding was stained. Not long after I checked in, the power went completely out. Not to mention that there were very suspicious people outside of my room for two straight hours just standing around, so on top of everything else, I felt unsafe. This was a pit stop for me on an 11-hour road trip, and the power going out was the last straw for me. So I chose to leave immediately and didn't even stay. I've already requested a refund and am still waiting to hear back from Expedia and/or the Days Inn. This was completely unacceptable.

Our time at Massanutten Sumit Resort was great, thought there were a few issues that need to be addressed. First of all our condo door (condo 128L)stuck ever time we opened it. You had to give it an extra shove. It took a while for the hot water to get hot. In the write up there was a mentioning of a dvd player in the condo, there was no dvd player in our condo. And we had to put water in the washer to get it to wash. Overall, like I said we made the best of things and we had a great time. And look forward to coming back again.

Breakfast was limited and the rooms were musty but everything else was great. Staff was friendly.

Nice room, clean, great amenities, decent breakfast. Had a few issues, no working fan in the bathroom (found out the hard way lol), and tub faucet had a fast leak that we reported, but no one came to fix. Keeping the door closed made it very humid in there. Was offered another room but decided to stay since we got in so late and wouldn’t be using the room much. Friendly staff, would stay there again.

The hotel is what one would expect for hotel of this category. It was clean, the breakfast okay, and the staff very pleasant and helpful.
