“Quiet and clean”

“The hotel and its setting are a great escape. The beautiful gardens make for an enjoyable stroll down to the mostly private beach. The room was very clean and tastefully decorated, and the beds very comfortable. We were allocated a room that was an upgrade from what we had booked, and even with it being a Ground Floor room it still had its own seating area (two in fact!). Had both breakfast and dinner in the restaurant during our stay and the food was great for both. Staff were friendly and...

“We had a really lovely garden room with little private patio area which we loved. Overall the property is slightly dated but in all honestly we found it charming. The gardener keeps the grounds beautifully maintained and the food is absolutely superb. Will, the restaurant manager is amazing but all the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. There are a few negative things but tbf the positives far outweigh them so I'm not going to mention them apart from if you're less than fit the walk into...

“We had a lovely spacious room with a comfortable bed, a bonus was the beautiful views of the river through the wide full height windows. Only downside was the lack of a cooked breakfast which is not available. There isn’t a table in the room so we had to sit on the single chair and blanket box to eat the cereals provided, not ideal when you want to fortify yourself for the SWCP walk. They also didn’t service the room which meant we had to wash the cereal bowls and cups in the bathroom sink...

“Such a wonderful property, and the rooms are so very clean and comfortable. We slept so well, and were treated quite nicely. Kate is such a lovely host, and her brekkie is top-notch. We enjoyed chatting with her as we ate, and found her delightful and helpful. The farm setting is so peaceful (for us guest that is, a lot of hard work for owners), and the location is great for visiting the Lizard and other places around south Cornwall. Thank you much for such a great stay!”

“Staff were lovely but the property needs a lot of TLC. The bathroom is tiny but well equipped. Good location for st Michael's Mount but not much else nearby. Bonus was, they offered breakfast included but we weren't hungry enough for a full English breakfast 😟”
