I love the location and historic charm of the of the hotel. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated. The restaurant on site is a great place to eat. There is a per day”resort fee” that is charged to stay there however this is not a resort. There is also a reduced per day parking fee that is charged to the hotel guests.

Very convenient to walk to various shops and establishments in Port Jefferson. The private seating in front of our room was wonderful. Parking was convenient and the room was nicely decorated. This was a great little getaway with a beautiful view.

While the staff and restaurant were good, the room was run down with mildew where the roof had leaked. The bathroom was dirty and the main bathroom light toggle outlets was cracked in two. The grout on the floor time was missing in places and some tiles loose. I had to tighten the toilet seat. When we shared this with the front desk, they gave us an email to send pictures to. For the money, I’d go somewhere else until they have management who cares about customer experience and the sleeping rooms.

Staff were very friendly and attentive. Restaurant is great. Rooms left a lot to be desired. No smells, but carpeted floors in a motel style room at this price are kind of gross. Bathroom didn't have hand soap on arrival and shower door was loose. Had to ask twice for soap. Bath towels extra small. No microwave, which was surprising. Limited parking on premises was unexpected. Several outlets and USB ports didnt work. Bed was very comfortable. Noise wasn't too bad later in evening. Lobby coffee was very good and well brewed. But no real half and half or sugar. Only Lipton tea. Overall, not what we expected for the price and resort fee.

Clean but a little run down. Front desk could’ve been more friendly. Love the vibe right on the water, although it’s not a quiet place. I liked hearing the live music from the restaurant but some people might not. Semi-obstructed views of the water and port were lovely. Nice to walk to beach, park, restaurants.

We were at this property for three nights. The first night, we asked for sheets for the pull-out bed (they were not in the room). There was also no hand soap. There was leftover food from another traveler in the refrigerator. The second day (when we realized there had been no housekeeping) we asked for a few coffee pods (the front desk was able to give us a different type but we made them work). The third day we had still had no housekeeping and we requested (and received) towels. Upon leaving, I asked what the "resort fee" was for, if we had missed something we might have been using. The clerk said, "no," that's just something we charge. The location was great. The room size was great and the beds were comfy enough. The facilities, however, are worn or not kept up in several areas and as far as our stay, the service was nearly non existant.
