The staff here were excellent and the highlight of the property. We stayed here when our departing flight was cancelled. We booked last minute on Expedia and the staff allowed us to check in substantially early (which was great as we were traveling with 3 kids). The breakfast buffet was good and plentiful. Downsides of the property were that the rooms are older and our AC worked variably. The property could benefit from an update. Location wise; it was fine. 15 min walk to downtown Ponta Delgada, but there is a big grocery store in close proximity and a pineapple plantation nearby which has an excellent menu for snacks.

I was solo travelling. Stayed for a week. I liked the location. Downside is breakfast not included and parking not included. Upside is there is a great grocery store next door and parking on street is free you just need to find spot. Location is good access to highways for sightseeing the island. Hotel overall is good. I would suggest booking ahead to get better pricing and be specific to request bed type (ie: king/queen size single bed instead of two singles).

This hotel is a convenient and attractive place to stay in São Miguel, close to both the airport and the city center. The property is clean, bright, and always bustling with guests. Unfortunately, the air‑conditioning was the biggest drawback. Our first room had a non‑working unit, and although the staff quickly reassigned us, the second room was no better. After experiencing the same issue during a second stay in a different room, it’s clear the cooling system is a recurring problem. Nights were warm enough that we relied on handheld fans to sleep. The breakfast buffet was excellent, offering a generous variety of items each morning. Staff were consistently polite and helpful. Parking outside is limited, so we opted for the underground garage at €10 per night, accessed from an obscure entrance behind the building. Some hallway carpets also appear loose and ready for refurbishment. Despite these issues, the hotel has a pleasant atmosphere and strong potential with a few improvements.

Excellent choice when staying in Ponta Delgada. Clean, well-appointed rooms, and friendly, helpful staff. Decent buffet breakfast. Location was just far enough outside the city center to be quiet for sleeping, but an easy walk. Close to the highway for easy access to the rest of the island. Tip: use the free street parking outside the hotel and avoid the hotel parking charge.

We booked a double room for two people under my name but for for some reason they made us pay extra when my husband and I tried to check in - we ended up paying around 950 for 4 nights stay. The hotel is sold as 4 star hotel, honestly this is more like a 3 star hotel which was a 4 star hotel 20 years ago , premises are bit old with a funky carpet and some lights are not working in the highest floors We wanted to use the swimming pool and sauna and again we had to pay for it extra Best thing about this place is the breakfast and the location and the guy at the bar who made us the white sangria Majority of guests are above the age of 50-60 so it’s seems quite focused on bus trips for older generations and activities focused on them. There is nothing VIP about this place. I would recommend if you don’t have any other options and extra money to spare

Although this was more than walking distance from city of Ponta Delgada it still was close enough to drive, bus, etc. There were shopping and dining options in and near the hotel. Staff at front desk and bar were great, and we enjoyed it here for our last day before our flight, and drove to city after check out before we flew home in the afternoon.

This property was in a great location. Everything was walkable but at the same time at a decent distance from the city. Walking distance also to the pineapple plantation which is a must see. Only a 10 minute drive from the airport so very quick and easy to and from there. @exploration_wonders approved !
