I called reception and asked if they could reduce the volume and bass but they refused. I then went downstairs and spoke to the manager, Emma, who kept repeating 'It's a pub' and that they have live music every Friday. Many guests are international visitors and don't know that. The surfaces of the bathroom and kitchen were clean but I did not open any cupboards or drawers and would not have been comfortable cooking and/or eating due to the sheer amount of dirt on the other surfaces - I would say it has been several years since the place has been properly cleaned. Office hours didn’t commence til 9 am so not easy to ask for anything. So disappointing in what was provided and not provided. Staff friendly at front desk.”
