My girlfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights. The breakfast was good but the rest of the food was terrible. Worst food we have ever eaten. They have multiple restaurants and most people just ended up leaving after a few minutes. We did love the entertainment and employees at the hotel.

I loved the friendly, smiling, and helpful staff, as well as the delicious food. The room was very clean and well maintained, which made my stay even more comfortable. The main area for improvement would be adding more entertainment and activities throughout the day and evening. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this resort to others. The wonderful staff, great food, and welcoming atmosphere made my stay very enjoyable.

The sargasso was pretty bad, the pools were very crowded and is the small resort and all pools are next to each other. We visited riu Yucatán and the entire family Have fun for the day. The staff is very nice, the food was good and different restaurants for you to enjoy.

Property was well maintained. There was always staff around cleaning, answering questions, or offering a drink etc.. The entertainment by the pool was great throughout the week and the bar staff were very attentive. Food was good at both lunch and dinner buffets. Only critique would be the general interiors and gym are a bit outdated and could use a bit of a refresh. This is my second stay at the Riu Playacar and I would recommend it.

The room was very clean. We're a family of 4,when we got our room, we were surprised they have added an extra bed in our room, which was very thoughtful of them and very helpful to us. The staff is very friendly and helpful. No surprise in the fees Jo additional hidden fees. The food was great, lots of options every day in the buffet. Variety of options, even some lactose free and gluten free options were available. Everything was labeled for allergen as dietary restrictions. The daily entertainment shows in the evening were beautiful. Definitely recommend RIU Playacar and definitely will stay there again.

Amazing stay, the highlight of my experience was RIU Entertainment team. They are amazing! I have to say that the service at the breakfast and lunch times needs a little improvement - everyone is nice but there are not enough servers for the amount of guests.

I enjoyed this resort a lot. It was the perfect size… not too big, not too small. Was always able to find a pool/beach chair in the morning around 9am after breakfast. Was always able to find seating at any restaurant with no wait time. I was actually quite impressed with the food, especially the sushi at Jade. I enjoyed the entertainment, both day and evening. Staff was super friendly and bartenders were great… special shoutout to Jorge at the swim up bar.

Excellent service and a hard working staff top to bottom. Great food, awesome beach front and pools for relaxing, and also plenty of activities available if you desire to stay busy. Very pleased and impressed with my stay and want to go back!

Overall the staff and hotel was great . Everyone was friendly and kind. Biggest downfall was that out of our party of 18 half of us got very sick. We had vomiting , diarrhea , fatigue . I am in sure if this was due to the food or a virus but it was the worst few weeks of recovery. We are almost 3 weeks out and still working on feeling better . I thought this review might help the hotel in case it was a food borne illness .
