Everyone was special, all kinds the food for all nation and for everyone Staff always ready to help in every languages. For breakfasy, lunch and dinner are excellent in case you missed your meal there's a snack bar you can enjoy. I encourage everyone to get there and enjoy a good their vacation.

The hotel staff was great, my room was ok it was clean but small and I had two double beds when I would have preferred one queen bed. Food was good, didnt like the wildlife walking around the premises eating food off people’s plates that part was the worst and probably wont bring me back. Maybe next time I will stay at the Riu Palace and wont have to deal with that.

The hotel is small, but it has everything you need to have a good time. The entire staff is very attentive and friendly—from the entertainment team to the waiters, bartenders, porters, and the beach shuttle driver. It was a wonderful experience, and I can't wait to return.

This hotel is not on the water, but they have a 10 minute shuttle that takes you to their beach club that has a restaurant, drinks, beach and pool all with lunge chairs. quiet place with plenty of chairs and room without being crowded at both the hotel and beach club. less kids then at other resorts.

Good for budget friendly.... Staff was good. Entertainment was fun 😁 Breakfast was my favorite meal. The Italian restaurant was decent. Ask for name brand liquor.... Not the cheap stuff. It was a quiet hotel 🏨. Some rooms are really far. If you have a disability tell the front desk immediately.

This is a great location, quality and price point if you like a quieter all inclusive experience......as long as you are ok not being on the beach. You can take their free shuttle to their beach access which has free buffet food and drink there or you can walk there in about 30 minutes. The onsite swimming pools appear clean and nice. They have a smaller "quiet" pool which lived up to the name.

If you want a lounge minimal hotel activity experience and don’t mind families being there then this place will be great for you! As a younger solo traveler I found the resort to offer minimal fun activities and found myself going off the resort more often than I expected. Overall not a bad hotel, staff are friendly, rooms are good. I did have a slight issue with the store at the hotel and because of this I missed my shuttle transportation to the airport when checking out, however the staff was kind about it. I was definitely upset about that experience but again overall experience was a 7/10.

This hotel was very relaxing. It did not have the variety or quality of food that other riu brand hotels have had, but there was always enough to eat. The mattresses are hard, but the room is clean, spacious and well-maintained. The drinks were good, the shows were cheesy, and there were activities to do. There was always lots to do despite the resort being small. They have the kids club there, but kids would likely be bored. The shuttle to the beach club was convenient, and the drivers are very friendly. It stops at a central location, so you can walk into Playa del Carmen, and then at the pathway down to the beach beside the Riu Palace. Even on March Break, we found enough loungers by the beach (except for one day) and by the quiet pool to sit. There are some pretty cool Mayan ruins along the way, which makes for a nice walk. All in all, we had a nice time.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Riu Lupita! The staff was awesome—friendly, attentive, and very accommodating. The hotel was extremely clean, which we really appreciated. We loved the main pool and bar, and there were so many fun activities to enjoy. The beach club was also a highlight with a beautiful setting and delicious food. We enjoyed all the restaurants at the resort. My favorite was the buffet. There was always something new and delicious to choose from at all meals. I do wish they had a late night option to get snacks besides just the bar being open 24/7 for drinks. The only downside was how humid the room felt—everything had a bit of a damp feeling, though we understand that may be due to the climate. The bed was also a bit firm for our liking, but when we requested a mattress topper, they brought one right away and it made a big difference. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would definitely return—next time maybe earlier in the year when it’s a little less humid!
