The location is amazing! Close to everything downtown. However, our room was musty and the bathroom drop ceiling was poor condition. Furthermore, the bathroom countertop was extremely small.

This is not the place to stay if you have weak knees or legs or generally not a strong able bodied person. We stayed on the second floor and had trouble with the old metal stairs. There are not many to climb but it was difficult for us, two seniors to navigate the stairs with luggage. No elevator as there are only two floors. Had we known about the metal stairs, and rough skinny metal railings, we would have asked to be on the first floor. The hotel was beautiful, the room was gorgeous and super comfortable. Our smoke detector went off within 5 minutes of turning the portable AC unit off. They said that was a common occurence. Good to know! No shower steam, no smoke, just high humidity coming from Lake Charlevoix. We would stay here again in a heartbeat, just not on the second floor. (We are 76 and 78). The restaurant has fabulous food, better than what the ratings said. Staff is terrific...Loved our suite...thank you.

No information was given when we checked in. We were not told where the ice was or breakfast or anything. There is a thermostat in the room but it doesn’t work. You have to use the air conditioner with no directions. We could not get the room to cool down and were hot all night. There were not a lot of choices for breakfast other than bread products. We went early and they were out of a lot and there were no workers around. The girl who checked us out was super friendly and I wish she had been there when we checked in. Probably wouldn’t stay here again.
