A lovely place to stay outside Paro

We had a lovely stay at Ama’s. The hosts, a brother and sister, are extremely accommodating. They speak excellent English and made us feel at home. Each room has its own bathroom but the bathrooms are not inside or attached to the sleeping rooms; they are down a little hallway. This isn’t ideal but it was OK for us. The rooms are a little cold but each has a space heater and the hosts offered extra blankets and hot water bottles. We were quite cozy and the room was charming. We plan to visit Paro again and will likely return to Ama’s. Meals are simple but tasty and they can adjust the spice for non-Bhutanese who aren’t accustomed to fiery chilies 🌶!
