Although older property needing some TLC, the staff makes it up. Mr Marais is an asset and always pleasent. Location is just perfect, even though older property, it has kept its charm.

We had an excellent stay at Hotel George Sands. It was centrally located near several metro stations, had many lovely food options near by. The bed was comfy and the rooms has great air conditioning. The front staff was always lovely and very helpful.

The staff at Hotel George Sand Opera were genuinely nice, friendly, and welcoming throughout my stay, which was definitely the highlight of my experience. The hotel is also very centrally located, making it convenient for exploring the city and accessing nearby attractions, restaurants, and public transportation. However, the hotel feels quite old and dated, and there was a persistent stale smell throughout my stay that made the overall experience less comfortable. While I understand that older buildings can have character, in this case the property's age was noticeable in a negative way.

Location is impeccable with metro and bus stations close by. Next door is a pret-a-manger, a pharmacy and a supermarket. Everything is clean and our queen room was a good size. The staff are the highlight of the property though, especially Naema who is the sweetest and most diligent problem solver. She made our stay extra special. Also special thanks to Fredric who made an early check in possible. Round the clock free coffee is available and they even set out some croissants and cakes while we waited for our room in the reception. This was such a wonderful stay and will def be coming back soon.

We reserved a deluxe double or twin room and got upgraded to a much bigger room with a separate single bedroom. We were on the 2nd floor so can hear the metro running below us, it did not bother me much but my husband had to turn on his white noise machine to block the sound. Our friend stayed on the 5th floor and said they bearly can hear the metro. The front desk staff were nice and helpful. Lots of restaurants and shopping near by.

The hotel was excellent both inside and out--making our first visit to Paris delightful. Staff both day and night were kind and helpful--offering umbrellas when raining, double-confirming our taxi to CDG airport, holding mail for us, and other gestures. Breakfast was ample and delicious with healthy options like fruit and yoghurt. Having croissants and coffee available later in the day was an extra treat. Also appreciated, they cleaned the room every day (which is unusual nowadays). This location in the 9th is excellent for public transit and walking, with >4 Metro stations nearby. There's a small supermarket about 3 blocks away and many shops in surrounding areas.

I was looking for a hotel that was uniquely French and not a corporate American chain.i got a bit more than I planned for! It’s a cozy, unique place with a lot of charm and character. It has a great location near several metro stations that makes traveling around the city very easy. We stayed on the top floor which had roof slants on the sides of the window. At 6’4 I found this limiting and my 5’6 girlfriend hit head on them twice. Whether you like these or not is up to you. The room was also very quiet and we rarely heard anything from outside of it. We were there during a freak heatwave and the A/C barely helped. The front desk only ever has 1 employee and if he’s occupied by another guest you have to wait. I had an issue with the door lock and had to ask 4 times before he’d actually help. I also have to mention the elevator. It is tiny! It can barely fit two people and is a nightmare to transport luggage in. One woman sent her bags down on their own and ran down the stairs to retrieve them. Overall, I’d give it 7 out of 10. It’s got a great location, is clean, and has a lot of character. But that character comes with some challenges.

First family visit to Paris

Everything was great except for a deafening sound due to lift maintenance issue and especially disruptive when we try to sleep and it woke us up multiple times early morning when people start to use the lift. Recep during check-in was very helpful; location was awesome, walking distance to Louvre, Palais Garnier and shopping area.
