Nice location, very near Gare De Noir. If coming from Eurostar , walkable distance. The rooms were not clean, Could not find a plug socket to charge my phone, Very small lift. Furnitures are breaking apart. Mould on the walls. I would opt if its cheaper and just for one night stay.

I have learned that most older buildings in Paris have some quirks, or have been adapted for modern amenities. Hotel du Brabant is one such place. The tiny elevator in between floors is one example. It was not a problem, but something we have laughed about many times. I'm thankful there was an elevator at all! This hotel is in a really fantastic location. There is a great market just on the corner, and two major train stations in easy walking distance. And if you would rather walk than take a train, it still works. This hotel was great for us.

Room was adequate. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and the hotel is close to transport. For a couple of nights this was adequate. negative was the lifts only going to the half floor meaning you still had to drag luggage up some stairs.

The staff is nice. Location good for moving around. Many things in the hotel are broken and not fixed. The bed, however was really nice and we slept very well. Bathroom was simple but large with a bath tub. Got nice warm shower. Go with low expectation and you’ll get your moneys worth.

It’s a simple paris hotel. More than clean enough. The usual small room. Although not as small as some other Paris hotels I stayed in. I would recommend this place to anybody who needs a stop over on their way to or from the local train station.

Cheap and Cheerful

Great value for money (didn't even raise prices during Olympics) Friendly staff and great location only 5 mins from Gare Du Nore. Clean but long overdue due for a refurb, however everything worked etc. Don't stay here if you expect perfection, but a great value hotel if just need a room.

It's a basic clean hotel within walking distance of Gare du Nord and off La Fayette street and a charming place Frans Lizst with a beautiful church. The Poissoniere metro within walking distance. Excellent bakeries near by, I used to have breakfast each time in a new one, sometimes with la good view of the church. Staff has been very helpful, a difficult situation had been resolved. Location, location, location!

from the outside the hotel looks decent. but def need to realize it has 2 stars listed at the Hotel window. there was a lift but looked very uninviting. our room was ok all electrical worked but the shower was quiet treacherous. About a foot off the ground a bit slippery, held onto the sink to get out but worried the sink would rip right out of the wall. luckily no falls. there was an issue with another guest one night but it ended quickly, but allowed for a very unsecure feeling. 1 of my biggest complaints was the cooperation with the staff. most did not speak English and few made the effort to communicate. I would think a hotel would at least know the English word for a Towel. but i guess the biggest issue was the location. luckily, one end of the street felt nice and safe, but if you ended up on the other...we felt very much the opposite.

Acceptable apart from stairs around elevator

Some things about this hotel were OK. The bed was comfortable, and despite being a side turning off a busy road, external noise was minimal. The building seemed very flimsy but there was little noise from rooms around me - perhaps I was lucky. Immediate hot water was available all day. The room was a good size, although it contained the most old-fashioned cot I've ever seen! Still, I didn't need that. There was just one electric socket in the room, but I managed. The ceiling light in the bathroom didn't work, but the one over the mirror was very adequate (although I had to use a coat hanger to reach the switch! But I'm not very tall). The decor was very shabby, but I didn't mind that. The only issue for me was the stairs/lift. I always look for hotels with lifts, and I checked this one. But it turned out that there were some stairs before the lift. The receptionist kindly helped me, but he didn't mention that there would be more stairs when I got out of the lift. I think it was the same on every floor, and they are slightly twisted, awkward steps. This will be fine for some guests, but it was difficult for me, and should be mentioned on the website or description. The hotel was convenient for both Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est, but it just feels as if no one really cares about it (although both receptionists were absolutely fine)

The pictures are misleading. The room had the narrowest beds, only one electrical outlet and black mold in the bathroom (shower and behind the toilet). The decor is pretty much non-existent. When I left the property to go stay somewhere else the helpful man at the reception gave me a business card to contact the owner about a potential refund. I sent an email the next morning and I haven't gotten any response. When you go to a city like Paris you expect better when picking even the most basic place.

The location was perfect! Everything was just a short walk or bike away. There’s even a bike shop a few doors down! Be prepared to hike up the steepest stairs I’ve ever seen in my life!
