Great location with lots of bakeries and restaurants within easy walking distance and a metro station very nearby, but the room was not the spacious room posted online. The twin beds were against each other, and while we could separate them, there would be no room to walk, and it was a challenge to have two suitcases in the room. While there is an elevator, we took it one person at a time due to each of us having a smallish suitcase and a carry on. Having said that, the room overlooked a charming courtyard, the room was clean, and the lobby was OK.

What a find! This hotel was fantastic for my 6 day break in Paris. The location was great being a 30 second walk to Oberkampf Metro and just a 15 minute stroll to Le Marais district. There were cafés, restaurants and shops nearby too. Hotel rooms in Paris tend to be small so I wasn't expecting anything spacious although my single room still had a double bed. At the end of the day, you don't go on a city break to stay in the hotel. In any case, it was always clean and well-kept. Marco and Fazia who managed The Alhambra, were friendly and very helpful, making my stay in Paris even better. I would go back there in a heartbeat after such a great experience! I would strongly recommend The Alhambra Hotel!

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms and public areas clean and the bed very comfortable. The lovely garden is a particular feature of this hotel especially as it is available for breakfasts in good weather. My only reservations are the lack of a kettle and tea and coffee making facilities ditto a fridge. That would lift this hotel to the next level especially in hot weather.

Hotel Alhambra is well-positioned near everything central in breakfast. The room was clean and well-maintained. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, with lots of healthy and appetizing choices as well as the usual fare. The staff were friendly for the most part, although I would have liked the option for a packed breakfast when I had to check out very early on the last day. Overall, I highly recommend it!

Chose this hotel primarily for the area, everything is walkable including the metro. The staff was very friendly and knowledgable. And the rooms were cleaned every day! If I came back to paris I would definitely book here again!

I arrived very early about 1030am and I hoped to leave my bag but was delighted to be given the option to check in early. I had a nice room overlooking the garden and had a very peaceful afternoon rest, hard to imagine it was the centre of Paris! It was clean and comfortable. It was easy to walk to from Gare du Nord, about half hour but there is also a metro very close by. Lots of cafes etc. It is a bit annoying having to hand the key in when you go out but it's clear that is their policy. I had a very enjoyable one night stay.

This was an older hotel but the rooms were modern and the beds were very comfortable. The owners were wonderful, the property was very close to 3 metro stations, places to eat and lots of shops. If going back to Paris I wouldn’t look anywhere else I would stay here again.

The hotel’s main advantage is its location. It is in a safe area with a few metro stations within walking distance and plenty of restaurants nearby. The room was adequate for one person, although overpriced—but that’s not unusual in Paris. There was also some peeling paint near the window, which I chose to ignore. Overall, the cleanliness met my expectations. Unfortunately, my stay was ruined by one serious problem: my room smelled like an open sewer throughout my entire stay. I reported it repeatedly from the day I arrived. The reception staff came up a couple of times, cleaned the shower drain, claimed that was the source of the smell, and assured me it had been fixed. It never was. I had to sleep with the window open every night because the odor was unbearable. The A/C also appeared to be on a timer and would shut off during the night. What disappointed me most was the reception staff. They were dismissive, kept making excuses, and never solved the problem. I contacted Expedia, who tried to obtain a reimbursement, but the hotel refused. Breakfast was basic, but the Ukrainian lady in charge was wonderful—kind, friendly, and professional. She is the only reason I’m not giving this hotel one star. Based on my experience, I would not stay here again and cannot recommend it. :::writing

We had a 2 night stay in March 2026 with 2 adults and 2 teenagers. The Oberkampf station (on the 5 & 9 lines) is visible from the entrance of the hotel (about 50m/160 feet) and will get you around where you need to go. Good local restaurants in the area, pharmacy is around the corner. Overall an excellent location. Staff is really friendly. Room was great, newer renovation with a fantastic shower. Very clean, overlooking the courtyard. Also very quiet. We knew there were other guests next to us but never heard them. Breakfast was fine, the usual eggs and bacon , toast and pastries, coffee, etc. We were early checking in and were able to leave bags in a secure area. They were also happy to keep our bags when we checked out so we were able to spend the last few hours in Paris luggage free. 10 out of 10 would stay again!

Lovely place to stay in Paris

Our stay at Hotel Alhambra was great, service was lovely. The front desk reception was always friendly and accommodating, even let us borrow a power adapter when ours broke. The breakfast buffet was included in the price of the hotel and it was a nice simple meal. The hotel was also very close to the metro, only about 2 min walk. There’s also a Filipino cafe next door and we had a delicious ube coffee from there. Overall a great place to stay, would recommend!
