Everything was good and the staff were very helpful and kind. The only problem I had was with the AC in the room which was freezing me and the staff tried but were unable to help. It seemed that the AC was centrally controlled by the hotel as opposed to by users of the room.

A very simple hotel in the Bastille. Our room was clean and served our needs. The metro was right at the end of the street and there were a lot of shops and places to eat. It's absolutely fine for the price you pay. Staff was super friendly.

We adored our stay at the Diese Hotel. The neighborhood was very safe, lots of food options and bars. The metro is very close, around 2 blocks away or less. Even though the neighborhood is not touristy we found a majority of people spoke English and were very friendly towards tourists. The breakfast was very fresh and a variety of foods available. Filtered drinking water was accessible 24 hours. Daily housekeeping. The only drawback of the entire stay was the elevator. It broke down twice during our stay. And without an elevator our 6th floor balcony room was a liability rather than a pleasure. The staff was accommodating and helped with our luggage on checkout as the elevator was broken. We would absolutely stay here again, but would likely request a lower floor.

The receptionist who checked us in was exceptional. So friendly, so knowledgeable and welcoming. The room itself was lovely although outdated. If you looking for a spot to kip for a couple of nights, this does the job.

The staff is very kind and attentive. The hotel is clean and the breakfast is excellent. Rating 4 stars due to the size of the shower that can barely accommodate an average sized adult - I’m 5’6”, 185 lbs, and could not turn around without bumping the knobs and shutting off the shower.

Friendly greeting in the 11th

We arrived early. The man at the desk couldn’t have been friendlier. We checked into a small room with a large window that opened from the 6th floor overlooking the busy street below. Overall I give this hotel high marks. It has great value for the price & the staff makes you feel special. Also, very good location. Love the 11th.

- photos on hotels.com and real experience, vastly different. Hotel undergoing renovation, the photos I guess are of the renovated rooms - I didn't get one of those! Rooms very tired and dated. - poor sound insulation, you hear a lot of door slamming, chair scraping etc. - It was clean! - Staff were friendly

Love this hotel in the 11th arrond. This is a real neighborhood, a respite from the highly turisty areas. Lots of bread/pastry shops, at least 2 excellent coffee places steps away, as well as cheese and meat ones, tons of restaurants and small shops to explore. Metro stop just around the corner, but also very walkable to the major attractions if willing to explore. Hotel is newly renovated. Highly recommend!
