This is a nice property that has the feel of getting to stay in a state park. It was quiet and peaceful, almost no cell service so my wife paid attention to me, and it included a free breakfast that was very tasty. Except the county potatoes, something wasn't right about the country potatoes. We would gladly stay here again and if you have kids or grandkids the lack of cell reception could really work out for you.

We checked in and the cottage was a little warm, but it was a hot July day and the A/C was catching up after the overnight. But it started losing it’s lead and the temperature inside went up to 79 degrees, so we had to change cabins in the 90 degree heat and we had to go down to a one bedroom cabin and put our adult children in a lodge room. It all worked out after that. It was July 4th weekend.

Room was clean and comfortable. We had a great view of the lake from our room. The food in the restaurant was good and reasonably priced. We ordered a chef salad and a burger with fries both were excellent. Complimentary breakfast was made to order. Good variety to choose from on the breakfast menu. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. We will stay here again when we are in the area.

When we arrived all the electrical power was off. Storms had downed power lines in the area. It could have been a disaster for us. The staff went above and beyond their normal duties to get us in our room. The power was to be on in a few hours. Went went site seeing of the area. When we came back the power was on. Thank goodness. We love the resort. I believe it opened in 1952 but it look like it opened in 2015. It was fully renovated and super clean. Food for breakfast was very good and dinner was great.

Stayed one night. The hotel moved my husband and I into a cabin because the hot water wasn't working at the lodge. The one bedroom cabin was really nice and comfortable. The bed was older but comfortable. The made to order breakfast was good and very reasonable. I would definitely stay here again.
