Absolutely terrific. Centrally located, the Sommero is a wonderful hotel. The people are thoughtful and kind, the facilities first rate and the value is tremendous especially when you consider that their lavish breakfast is included.

A very nice hotel close to the waterfront area and downtown Oslo. The tram stop is right in front of the hotel. Room was very nice. We had a junior suite. Still amd sparkling water dispensers are available on each floor. Dining options are plenty as they have 5 restaurants on site. Breakfast is pretty good as well. My only complaint t is that it was at times difficult to contact guest services.

The location, gym breakfast is excellent. The only small issues we had were some service challenges, the lighting system in the room (in the middle of the night if you went to the bathroom the bathroom lights would auto turn on at full capacity no matter the setting you had it and doesn’t turn off so it’s quite jarring) and the elevator system is slow. Only two of the elevators goes to the rooms but all 4 go to the rooftop restaurants so what this means is that with the small elevators you could really be waiting for a long time for there to be room for you.

Great atmosphere. Excellent location! Steps away from the palace and right at the National Theatre train station with direct connection to the airport. So easy! Life music in the sprawling restaurant. Very quiet room. Delicious , elaborate breakfast including a gluten-free selection of bread and cakes. Very friendly reception!

This place is great. Absolutely beautiful property. Stunning decor. Different. Interesting. The dining room - wow! Great breakfast. Happening dining and bar on 7th floor. Didn’t check out rooftop pool. But indoor pool and gym area very nice. The surrounding area gorgeous. Nice walking. Beautiful buildings. Excellent restaurants. Oslo very impressive. Much more than we expected. Would return in a heartbeat. This is a great hotel.

The room and property are beautiful. And the daily breakfast (included) was outstanding. The only complaint is that I sent 3 messages the property in the weeks leading up to our stay, requesting that the two/separate one-night stays be merged so we wouldn’t need to check out and back in or to have our keycards be deactivated. The hotel responded promptly each time assuring me that there would be no issue. I also reconfirmed when we checked in. Unfortunately, our keycards were deactivated and access was blocked. We had to wait in line again at the front desk to remedy the issue. While somewhat of a minor in inconvenience, I didn’t feel that the attention to detail and following thru on commitments were honored.

This is a great Hotel! The staff was amazing and so attentive. We loved everyone from the gentlemen who met us and helped us with our luggage, to the reception staff, and everyone we met was so pleasant and really enjoyed being there. Would stay here again but will try a couple more days as we didn’t get to see enough. Almost forgot the breakfasts - out of this world, and main restaurant for drinks and dinner exceptional. Also ate at Ahaan again great food and drinks we ate at the bar very lovely too!

We had an excellent stay at Hotel Sommerro. The staff is attentive and helpful, and we were very pleased with the amenities in our room. The location is excellent with easy parking and all of downtown Oslo's attractions are just a short walk away. That all being said - you could disregard all that and just stay here for the breakfast alone. Hosted in their beautiful art deco bar, walking into the buffet area feels like entering the Chocolate Room in Willy Wonka's factory...never in my life have I seen such a spread. In addition to the most amazing selection of meats/cheeses/granola/fruit/parfaits I have ever seen, their short-order chefs are standing by to create all manner of hot delights (I recommend the eggs Royale.). It is not to be missed.

I enjoyed the room at Sommerro. It was clean, comfortable bed and unique interior. The breakfast was great. The spa that was included with my room was not worth the hype. I found the corridors and layout with multiple doors and walls difficult to use and not relaxing at all. I would have been better off using my own gym sauna at home and skipping the experience here entirely. If I had known this, I might have paid extra for the top floor spa, but I would probably not return to try it out in the future given this experience. Also, the tv wasn’t working the first night and was told by reception they needed to check to see how long my stay was going to be before they would consider helping me fix it (I was staying 4 nights). I ended up fixing it myself.

Stunning hotel with so much interesting history and interior design. We loved our stay - the staff were so accommodating and the hotel felt very relaxing and luxurious. We had to leave early one morning and the hotel reception were able to arrange a breakfast to go which has so much variety and options. A truly exceptional experience and service.

Best hotel in Oslo. Exquisite retro-style interior, lovely atmosphere. Super friendly staff. Perfect location centrally. Excellent dining options and bars, very good breakfast in the stunning "ekspedisjonshallen", spa options, swimming pool, spacious and well eqiupped gym. Clean and spacious rooms.
