The bad far outweighs the good.
The good: cheap. Communicative host.
The bad:
1) Rugs very dirty - doesn't look like they vacuumed in weeks.
2) After paying, I got a list of unusual rules with fines for a ton of unusual things they require. These were NOT on the Expedia information and were completely unexpected. More on that below.
3) Bugs. I saw at least 8 small crawling bugs in different places in my room
4) Very convoluted forms required for checkin w/ required screenshots of IDs.
Now the rules & fines if you breathe wrong. Some were fine (like fine for smoking).
‼️ Carpet: Do not make the carpet dirty with shoes, stains, or food spills. If your room carpet is dirty after check-out, the fine is: $100.
[THE CARPETS WERE FILTHY AND HADN"T BEEN VACUUMED IN WEEKS]
🚗 Car Registration: Write your car make, model, color, and plate number on the fridge board.
Fine for not writing it: $35.
🚫 Your room does not come with parking. Do not park at the house. You may only drop passengers, load, and unload. [[THIS IS WRONG - THERE IS PARKING AT THE HOUSE. SO CONFUSING]
Fine: $100 per occurrence.
🅿️ Parking Rules: Do not block empty parking spaces. There are 4 slots at the house.
Fine: $100 per offense.
🔇 Quiet Hours: 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM
No loud conversations, phone calls, TV volume, or music during these hours. Common areas (kitchen, laundry, living room, pool, or patio) must not be used.
Fine: $100
