“Lovely castle, rooms were n need of a little refresh but overall a great stay.”

“Bien”

“Being in a castle is unique by itself. First impressions were not as expected, fake flowers everywhere, a bar with a kitschy look, a spa with no pool, an outdoor area like a beer garden, it felt a bit like in an amusement park. Bathroom with a bathtub, difficult to step into and very slippery, lots of stairs to climb.

“I never write reviews but this one was bizarre. Arrive to complete darkness on the property at 7pm. I have to look around the yard to find the owners - felt like I was going to be shot for trespassing. The wife owner is controlling - forces you to remove shoes and put on sandals that she provides. And then freaked when I put my bag on the bed. The place smells and is creepy. I was counting the minutes until I could wake up and leave. Beware!”

“Only stayed one night to see the football , hotel was good and staff were very helpful. A long walk to the station or city centre but a bus stop close by.”
