Super convenient to All Star Village. Less than ten minutes away. Steps from Main St. Oneonta and easy access to restaurants and shops. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms, property, and parking lot are severely dated and in need of repair.

Breakfast was standard. Room was well maintained and clean. The Marx was clearly very nice in its day. I didn’t see a better place to stay in the area. It’s got a Bucs stop for the all star village so that’s a huge plus if that’s the reason for your stay.

This hotel has seen better days. The landscaping is overgrown, the second floor that has access to the Main Street smells like urine, and the rooms are dated. On the bright side, the staff is very kind and helpful and the breakfast is alright.

The property is much older than the images online appear. The hotel itself is very old and fairly outdated. The bathrooms have mold/mildew. Daily room cleaning is not offered, even with a $300-400/night price tag. The staff however, was sooooo nice.

Staff were helpful/polite and the Breakfast was good, but there were mold spores above the shower and a bar of soap from the previous resident (with a pube on it) was still in the shower suggesting bathroom was not cleaned properly between visits. If the decor was updated and it was properly cleaned it would be a decent hotel. Place needs to be renovated.

The staff was amazing. However, the property was in serious need of repair. The initial entry smelled of urine. The room had carpet with holes/repairs. The beds were nice and comfortable. The breakfast was lacking all options and was not very good. Overall, it worked for a short stay but we definitely will not stay there again.

We stayed here on our way to Cooperstown. The hotel looks older with dark wood and emerald green carpet in the rooms. The staff was wonderful at the front desk at check in. It is located right off a street with restaurants and shopping. The hotel needs better lighting in the hallways. It was very quiet at night. They offer breakfast in the morning but, we did not stay to check it out.

Overall, we liked the hotel. although older definitely is very well maintained plus the fact its accessible to a lot of shops and restaurant. We will definitely use again if we need a place to stay in the area.
