We loved staying here. It was very unfortunate the restaurant was closed when we were there but there were many other good options within walking distance. The hotel was clean, charming, homey, and we loved the decor and overall vibe of the place. This was my favorite place to stay on our trip and I hope we can visit and stay again someday.

The building was beautiful and the room decor was charming. Great pillows! Perfect location to walk around and explore Onancock. I would strongly suggest the owners clean the showerhead as the water was spraying in every direction and clean the blinds on the windows as they were visibly quite dirty.

This is our second time staying at The Charlotte Hotel. The rooms have a nice traditional feel. Quiet location yet right in town with an easy walk to restaurants (including the new Bread & Butter), shops, and the waterfront. On street parking is plentiful and we've been able to park right in front of the hotel each August stay. Onancock is a peaceful place to stay on the Chesapeake Bay. A great value...we would 100% stay here again.

I thoroughly enjoyed my two-nights stay at Charlotte Hotel. The property is charming and in excellent condition. The breakfast I ate in the on-site restaurant was delicious. The location is conveniently located within walking of restaurants, cafe, pub and a community theater. I would definitely stay here again.

The place is lovely, clean and quaint however there was no staff on site to greet, no ice, poor coffee service and no response to numerous phone calls prior to arrival.

A Quick Stay

We arrived a little bit before the restaurant was supposed to close, but the friendly staff was able to prepare a meal for us and giving us some ideas for breakfast before leaving. Very friendly staff.

A Very Enjoyable Get-Away

Small but comfy, quiet, and clean room. We enjoyed Mallards for dinner & sunset and The Foggy Place and Corner Bakery for breakfast. A short drive to catch the ferry to Tangier Island, where we had an enjoyable day.

Great quaint town and Hotel.

People and food were excellent. Rooms were good but what needs to be stated is that there is no elevator. However it does have a stair chair for lighter people.

Lovely upscale hotel/B&B in the quiet, waterfront town of Onancock. Their restaurant served delicious meals & unique cocktails. The staff, especially the manager, Cheyenne, were gracious & accommodating. I’ll be back!

The property centrally located to shopping cans food and entertainment. Property is well maintained and clean. I disliked climbing the two sets of fifteen stairs to our room on the third floor. Overall enjoyed the stay all will recommend it.

A nice little hotel. In a cute little town. It’s an old property, but it is very very clean. Do to the nature of the building you can hear everyone talking and walking. We were woken at 8:30 this morning by the room above us being vacuumed, which was very loud. Overall a nice stay!
