This hotel was just amazing. From the building itself, to the rooms, to the staff, the pool and especially the food in the restaurant. Definitely the highlight of our motorcycle trip. Safe off-road parking too which was a plus. Previous reviewers complained about the road up to the hotel (absolutely fine - just a normal road) and the wi-fi (worked perfectly plus good 4G signal). I would be hard put to find anything to complain about this stunning oasis. All the staff were perfectly polite and friendly. Thank you especially to Silla who was an absolute pleasure to deal with and so helpful. She was always smiling even though she seemed to be there from breakfast until after evening dinner. If you are reading this review - just book it - you will not regret it.

Very unique property if your looking for that certain quality. Beautiful surroundings and even more amazing biking roads. Restaurant very good and does the best Portuguese tarts all.

The actual hotel is stunning. Built like a castle, warm, comfortable and beautiful. However, there is literally nothing to do around it except several fairly difficult hikes. No wifi, small little pool. It would be a romantic place to unplug and unwind, but for kids or as a base to explore, no.

No kettle or coffee maker in the room is a deal killer for me. "Missed it by that much" Get Smart. Two very uncomfortable wicker chairs in the room. We were told breakfast was 8 AM but turns out it was 8:30 AM. Perhaps lost in translation. Breakfast was all laid out at 8 but we were not allowed to have it. Bed was OK. It would have been nice to have coffee in the lobby in the morning so that you can sit in the large number of comfortable places and enjoy a quiet morning. Especially with the room with the roaring fire. We wanted to know if we could order wine and sit in one of the lovely rooms but it must have gotten lost in translation. Not sure why many of these places don't have a FAQ in various languages explaining all this. We were there on Valentines day so there was a preset menu. It was good.

BOOK IT! What a beautiful place. So peaceful. The staff are so sweet. The vibe is so trusting. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant (which was one of the best meals I’ve ever had), they just added the bill right in for us to pay the next day, so easy and relaxing. The pool was huge and very clean. Much needed relaxation day in the mountains :) Free parking right on site. Free buffet breakfast.

The property is beautiful. The food was good. The lady that greeted us was very helpful and nice. The views are breathtaking and the locals are welcoming. Everything was perfect except I suggest being a bit more meticulous on the cleanliness of the washrooms and bedding (such as the pillows).

Nice getaway

We come here often, it's one of our favorite getaway hotels. It has a great pool and garden, it benefits from a fantastic view and is close to nice natural river pools and walking trails. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good, Lunch and dinner are served on a beautiful outdoor terrace, but regrettably the food could be better, especially for the price, and there are no good restaurant options close by.

O espaço é fantástico, ótimo para uma escapa dela para descanso e com vistas incríveis. Por ser um edifício já antigo, não tem insonorizacao e ouve-se tudo de uma quartos para os outros. Tomamos por la noche unas copas yo pedi un JB 15 AÑOS, solo, y como le quedaba poco el camarero le hecho agua y no poca, era agua con sabor a whisky ,eso no se hace , es un delito estropear un whisky así vamos tome un vaso de agua de 9€ ..cómo puedes pensar que semejante chapuza iba a pasar desapercibida? Las copas se sirven delante del cliente no saques el vaso de debajo la barra como si fuera un truco de magia. No sé si es una practica habitul para el ahorro o que los clientes nos damos cuenta cobra lo que necesites cobrar pero no a heches agua no engañes y encima el día anterior le dejé propina Al día siguiente estuvimos vigilantes tenía un vaso de agua allí cerca , vamos que los que pidan copas con hielo....

Estadia maravilhosa na Quinta da Geia. O hotel é lindo, as áreas comuns são cheias de detalhes, muito aconchegantes, os quartos são ótimos. A vista para a montanha é linda. Passei dez dias viajando por várias cidades em Portugal e a Quinta da Geia foi a melhor hospedagem no país.

Prachtig gerestaureerd huis met veel verschillend ingerichte en gezellige zitgedeeltes. Een mooie tuin aangelegd op verschillende terrassen met fabuleus uitzicht en een heerlijk zwembad. Fijn restaurant, ook buiten. Grappig: een bibliotheek vol Nederlandse boeken (van de vorige eigenaren).
